And yet when the goalie does that, stands up, and says he will fight, stands up and refuses to be subsituted, especially when its penalty shootout, and being subsituted is the easy option, he stays and fights, and people are up in arms. I mean nobody would have blamed him. People would have said, what a great keeper, kept a clean sheet, had an unfortunate cramp, maybe would have won the shootout if he stayed.

He would have lost noting by being subsituted. NOTHING. But he stood, stayed and fought.

Great character exhibited by the keeper. And a great performance by Chelsea, to face a team that smashed them for six about a month ago, and keep a clean sheet.

Sarri is a joke of a manager, and one that Chelsea should actually sack, and not the stopper.

15-16 Oh, and he managed to not even get out of the group in Champions League. Beat Bilbao, Shakhtar, Liverpool on the way to the title. Which of these teams is worth bragging about beating? Except for Liverpool.

So he has won the Europa League for 3 years, while only beating a team better than him once. And not even been able to get out of the group stage of the Champions League.

I guess this (6-0 hammering at the Etihad) is what happens when your Captain is a player that doesnt even start for the national team.

I personally don't believe that Emery is the man to turn to if you wish to win, or even compete strongly for, a league title. His record in La Liga for Sevilla was poor and he even finished 2nd with PSG, which is utterly in my eyes. But he's hardly a nobody at the same time and is a very accomplished coach/manager. He also knows how to find a player for peanuts then turn them into a star. 

 

Europa league is an achievement for Porto, not the richest club.And I credited him for undefeated in the League AND Europa Cup. In the same season. Two silverware in one season is an achievement.
