Michael 1,116 Posted January 11, 2020 Share Posted January 11, 2020 Hans Tilkowski, the former Eintracht Frankfurt and the former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper has died at the age of 84. Tilkowski passed away on the 5th of January 2020. Tilkowski was a German international goalkeeper and he was perhaps most famous for being Germany's goalkeeper at the 1966 World Cup final against England, in which England of course won 4-2. Tilkowski always maintained that England's controversial 3rd goal during that final, scored by Hurst, never crossed the line. R.I.P.
