  1. Belgium look like another very strong side, who will fancy their chances of going very far at these Euros. Just the forwards alone, with players like Openda, Lukaku, Doku, Trossard and this years revelation Bakayoko, is enough to make one's mouth water. But with the help in midfield of De Bruyne, Onana, Vermeeran and Tielemans, it looks like Belgium will be one of the stronger sides at Euro 2024.
  2. It's a big blow for Austria that both Xaver Schlager and David Alaba are injured and that as a result, they won't play at Euro 2024. Xaver Schlager is an excellent hard working midfielder, whose work-rate in midfield has played a crucial role in helping Austria succeed in recent years. While David Alaba is one of the best defenders in the world. However, Austria should still do well, as they still have a very good side.
  3. I think the Czechs should at least make the Round of 16. They have a very good team and should finish ahead of Turkey and Georgia in their group. Schick is always a danger upfront for them.
  4. Poor opposition in the Bundesliga? You're having a laugh. The Bundesliga has many tough sides and yeah, even though Kane plays for a top side like Bayern, he still deserves credit for scoring the great goals that he has scored. You demonstrate your cluelessness when you try to claim that Bundesliga sides are poor.
  5. Group A Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Scotland Group B Spain, Italy, Croatia, Albania Group C England, Denmark, Serbia, Slovenia Group D - France, Netherlands, Austria, Poland Group E Belgium, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania Group F Portugal, Czech Republic, Turkey, Georgia Top goal scorer Kane Winner England
  6. This Portugal side looks very strong, I can see them going very far. They look strong in all positions. Cristiano Ronaldo could lead them to another Euro triumph, just like he did in 2016.
  7. Mykolenko has had an MRI scan and he will have another MRI scan tomorrow. But apparently his injury doesn't appear as serious as initially feared. Hopefully he does play a part for Ukraine at Euro 2024.
  8. Lewandowski's absence will be a very big blow, hopefully he is able to return for the 2nd and 3rd group matches.
  9. Portugal are leading Ireland 3-0 in a friendly being played on their home soil. Joao Felix opened the scoring in the 1st half to give Portugal the lead. Then in the 2nd half, the veteran Cristiano Ronaldo scored 2 goals to make it 3-0 to Portugal. Portugal 3-0 Ireland
  10. In the end, Ukraine thrash Moldova 4-0 away from home, in what was a dominant and impressive performance by Ukraine. They will be happy in the manner in which they dominated this Moldovan side, a Moldovan side who only a few days ago beat Cyprus 3-2. Rebrov will be concerned however that Mykolenko got injured again, potentially ruling him out of Euro 2024. Moldova 0-4 Ukraine
  11. Sudakov scores a 4th goal for Ukraine! Sudakov ran goal-wards with the ball, he played a lovely one-two pass with Dovbyk and then Sudakov shot towards the far post where he found the net and left the keeper with no chance. That was a lovely goal by Sudakov! Moldova 0-4 Ukraine
  12. Mudryk darts into the penalty area from the left flank and has a powerful shot blocked excellently by the keeper Railean, the rebound found it's way to Konoplia who volleyed the ball beautifully goalwards and forced another block by the keeper Railean. That was a great double save by Railean to prevent Ukraine from adding another goal.
  13. Dovbyk who only just came on for Yaremchuk in the 2nd half, scores for Ukraine to make it 3-0! Sudakov found Dovbyk in the area with a lovely pass and Dovbyk smashed the ball into the net at the near post, as he left the Moldovan keeper Railean with no chance. Moldova 0-3 Ukraine
  14. Ukraine lead by 2 goals to nil at half-time, both Yaremchuk's and Tsyhankov's goals were well taken strikes. But the only real sour note in the first-half, was that Mykolenko had to go off injured. He has only recently returned from injury and it looks like he has reaggravated his old injury, as he had to hobble off the field. He looked distraught after he fell to the ground injured. Moldova 0-2 Ukraine
  15. Ukraine score a 2nd goal through Tsyhankov! Tsyhankov was put through by Sudakov at the edge of the area and Tsyhankov's shot finished low in the right corner. Moldova 0-2 Ukraine
  16. Shaparenko has a good shot saved by the Moldovan keeper Railean!
  17. Big blow for Ukraine, Mykolenko goes off injured and it looks bad.
  18. Yaremchuk has a powerful close range shot, excellently blocked by the Moldovan keeper at his near post.
  19. Ukraine take an early lead in the 2nd minute, as Yaremchuk struck the ball beautifully on the bounce and his dipping shot beat the keeper and found the corner of the net. That was a great goal by Yaremchuk! Moldova 0-1 Ukraine
  20. Moldova host Ukraine in a friendly match today. It will be Ukraine's final friendly match before the head off to play at Euro 2024. Ukrainian manager Rebrov has named a much stronger line-up than the team that started against Poland in their last match, but this line-up against Moldova is still not the starting 11 we can expect to see at Euro 2024. Ukraine's line-up against Moldova is the following: Lunin Konoplia - Zabarnyi - Matvienko - Mykolenko Tsyhankov - Shaparenko - Stepanenko - Mudryk Sudakov Yaremchuk
  21. Well I think if you watch these teams play, you will see that they are no pushovers. We saw Iceland against England and I've seen them in other matches, they can be a very tough side to play against. France could only draw at home against Canada yesterday and we all know the quality of players France have. While Scotland are admittedly not in the best form right now, it wasn't that long ago when they were beating sides like Spain 2-0. So yeah, to be thrashing these teams, I do think it shows how well the Dutch are playing.
  22. Yes, but the point is that they are on form(no slip ups) and they are banging in the goals. They thrashed Scotland, Canada and Iceland, all of whom are quite decent sides.
  23. I think it shows that the Dutch are currently one of the most in form teams heading into the Euros. The following are their results in their last 7 international matches: Greece 0-1 Netherlands Netherlands 1-0 Ireland Gibraltar 0-6 Netherlands Netherlands 4-0 Scotland Germany 2-1 Netherlands Netherlands 4-0 Canada Netherlands 4-0 Iceland They've not been short of scoring goals in many of their matches. Their team seems to be clicking very well.
