Michael
Former Iraqi international striker Ahmed Radhi has died in Baghdad as a result of COVID-19 complications at the age of 56. Radhi played for Iraq at the 1986 World Cup and at the 1988 Olympics. He was a regular member of the Iraqi team that was routinely tortured by Saddam Hussain's son Uday Hussain. In total, Ahmed Radhi played 121 international matches for the Iraqi national team and he scored a total of 62 goals for them. Radhi is the scorer of Iraq's only World Cup goal. This news will particularly come as a great shock to the Iraqi footballing community, as Radhi was widely accepted as being Iraq's best ever footballer. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/06/iraqi-football-legend-ahmad-radhi-dies-battling-covid-19-200621142909865.html R.I.P.
