ScoRoss Posted June 8, 2022 Posted June 8, 2022 Four clubs managed since he was first appointment nine years ago, and seems to fall further down the English leagues with each appointment. Previously had approached Shaun Maloney, after his poor spell at Hibs last season, but any agreement fell through. Seems a completely different type of appointment, and probably a more stable if unspectacular manager. Will need a strong summer transfer window to return Dundee to the Premiership, as they were a poor aging team last year and are in desperate need of some talent. Last time they won promotion, it had a large proportion to do with Charlie Adam's ability to dictate a game at their level. And that's unlikely to still be the case again this time. Dundee will probably start as one of the favourites for promotion, alongside Inverness and Arbroath. But will need something to build on, otherwise they continue to be Scotland's quintessential yo-yo club.
