tbf though Neil Jones hasn't been too reliable for LFC this summer or last summer - but another local journo that is more reliable, David Lynch, has indicated that there are clubs who have inquired about him in his last year of contract with us. Rumour is we're looking to add 2 more midfielders if we sell him. I've got mixed thoughts on it. He's world class when he plays. But he's also very injury prone and doesn't play very much. Very much a luxury player, imo.

If it's true we're looking to move forward signing Lavia & Thuram in midfield though, I suspect he goes. Feels bad though because it looks like we're putting together a functional midfield and he'd probably thrive with some of these new players around him. But he's not been someone we can really rely on - makes sense to shift him on for players that will play more and will be on a lesser wage.
