Michael Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 It is reported that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Matej Kovar. The Czech keeper Kovar, who is 23 years old, is rumoured to be joining Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen for a €9 million transfer fee. Kovar has been a regular starter for the Czech Under 21 national team and he has played regularly at various other youth levels for the Czech Republic. Kovar spent last season on loan as first choice keeper for Sparta Prague, where he helped the Czech giants win the league title. All in all, I think that this could be an excellent investment by Leverkusen. They are buying a young keeper, who will seriously challenge the experienced Hradecky for a starting place in the Leverkusen team.
