Michael
Moldova host Ukraine in a friendly match today. It will be Ukraine's final friendly match before the head off to play at Euro 2024. Ukrainian manager Rebrov has named a much stronger line-up than the team that started against Poland in their last match, but this line-up against Moldova is still not the starting 11 we can expect to see at Euro 2024. Ukraine's line-up against Moldova is the following: Lunin Konoplia - Zabarnyi - Matvienko - Mykolenko Tsyhankov - Shaparenko - Stepanenko - Mudryk Sudakov Yaremchuk
Michael
Ukraine take an early lead in the 2nd minute, as Yaremchuk struck the ball beautifully on the bounce and his dipping shot beat the keeper and found the corner of the net. That was a great goal by Yaremchuk! Moldova 0-1 Ukraine

Michael
Shaparenko has a good shot saved by the Moldovan keeper Railean!
Michael
Ukraine score a 2nd goal through Tsyhankov! Tsyhankov was put through by Sudakov at the edge of the area and Tsyhankov's shot finished low in the right corner. Moldova 0-2 Ukraine
Michael
Ukraine lead by 2 goals to nil at half-time, both Yaremchuk's and Tsyhankov's goals were well taken strikes. But the only real sour note in the first-half, was that Mykolenko had to go off injured. He has only recently returned from injury and it looks like he has reaggravated his old injury, as he had to hobble off the field. He looked distraught after he fell to the ground injured. Michael
Dovbyk who only just came on for Yaremchuk in the 2nd half, scores for Ukraine to make it 3-0! Sudakov found Dovbyk in the area with a lovely pass and Dovbyk smashed the ball into the net at the near post, as he left the Moldovan keeper Railean with no chance. Moldova 0-3 Ukraine
Michael
Mudryk darts into the penalty area from the left flank and has a powerful shot blocked excellently by the keeper Railean, the rebound found it's way to Konoplia who volleyed the ball beautifully goalwards and forced another block by the keeper Railean. That was a great double save by Railean to prevent Ukraine from adding another goal.
Michael
Sudakov scores a 4th goal for Ukraine! Sudakov ran goal-wards with the ball, he played a lovely one-two pass with Dovbyk and then Sudakov shot towards the far post where he found the net and left the keeper with no chance. That was a lovely goal by Sudakov! Moldova 0-4 Ukraine
Michael
In the end, Ukraine thrash Moldova 4-0 away from home, in what was a dominant and impressive performance by Ukraine. They will be happy in the manner in which they dominated this Moldovan side, a Moldovan side who only a few days ago beat Cyprus 3-2. Rebrov will be concerned however that Mykolenko got injured again, potentially ruling him out of Euro 2024. Moldova 0-4 Ukraine
Michael
Mykolenko has had an MRI scan and he will have another MRI scan tomorrow. But apparently his injury doesn't appear as serious as initially feared. Hopefully he does play a part for Ukraine at Euro 2024.
