Michael
Feyenoord's Slovak defender David Hancko is being linked with Liverpool, as well as other clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa and West Ham. Liverpool manager Arne Slot knows Hancko well, as he managed him at Feyenoord. Hancko is a tough tackling versatile defender. Hancko was a key player during the 2022/23 season for Feyenoord, in which Feyenoord won the league title. Hancko was also selected in the Eredivisie(Dutch League) team of the season for 2022/23. It's well known that Slot is looking to buy a defender this summer at Liverpool and Hancko could be that player. Hancko also had a good 2023/24 season for Feyenoord, in which the Rotterdam club finished in 2nd place in the Eredivisie, just behind PSV. Feyenoord also won the KNVB Cup(Dutch Cup), this season just finished and Hancko even scored in the semi-final of that competition against Groningen. Hancko has also impressed for Slovakia in their opening 2 matches of Euro 2024. If Liverpool want Hancko, they will have to splash out €35 million in order to buy the Slovak defender, as that is the transfer price that Feyenoord want for him.
