Dave
His contract expires at the end of the season, Brentford are linked with other defenders, is he a good World Cup away from playing at higher level?
Dave
3 minutes ago, Cannabis said: Deserves to be playing at the highest level with a name like that. No word of a lie, before he joined Brentford a thread was set up on Palace's biggest fan forum where people were making some penis related puns about him joining us. Ed Maylon, being the national respected journalist he is, actually ran an 'inside' story on how he's about to sign for Palace (fee agreed, terms agreed, passing medical etc). Completely not understanding all the puns.
Danny
I like Bjelland and will be sad to see him leave but he's not leaving the biggest boots to fill. He came to us with a lot of promise but it seems the knee injury he sustained may have played it's part, still a quality defender at this level. He's 29 now and we don't pay big wages so he's probably after a big final payday, I hope he excels at the World Cup and gets one because he's been class for us. Dave
Andreas Bjelland wants to join a Premier League club this summer after rejecting another offer to stay at Brentford, Sky Sports News understands. The 29-year-old Denmark centre-back's current deal expires in June and he is already attracting interest from the top flight as well as clubs in Germany's Bundesliga. Bjelland is expected to feature for Denmark at the World Cup after an impressive qualifying campaign and is almost certain to wait until after the tournament to decide his next move.
