Dave Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Derby striker Matej Vydra has won the Sky Bet Championship Golden Boot award after scoring 21 goals in the league this season. He scored every 129 minutes he was on the field this season, helping the Rams to secure a play-off place on the final day of the campaign with a goal during their 4-1 win against Barnsley. Vyrda will now have the chance to fire Derby into the Premier League and increase his haul even further, although this will not have an effect on his Golden Boot-winning tally.
Pig on the Wing Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Unsurprising - Vydra is class at this level. Fair play. The one that has staggered me is League One donkey Leon Clarke becoming prolific and scoring 19 this season. Sure, he was decent for Coventry and Bury, but I really didn't expect him to have the season he's had - and from the outsider looking in, he's integral to the great return to the Championship that Sheffield United have had.
