Dave
He's only got a year left on his contract and is 33. It's definitely a short term solution but with those factors you imagine Swansea are just trying to drive the fee up a bit.
Administrator Stan Posted June 18, 2018 Administrator Share Posted June 18, 2018 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44522330 Close to signing for Hammers now Quote West Ham are close to completing the signing of Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. The Hammers need a replacement for Joe Hart following the end of his loan spell from Manchester City. Fabianski, who joined from Arsenal in 2014, told Swansea he wished to leave the Liberty Stadium after their relegation to the Championship. The Poland international, 33, is in Russia for the World Cup, but this has not prevented transfers negotiations.
Dave
Hes signed for seven million. I have no doubt there will be no debate over his starting position as their has been over the years with Hart, Adrian and Randolph. Still, I think that's a bit of a hefty fee for a Goalkeeper, at 33, in his last year of his contract, that's not going to take you to the next level. Hopefully Swansea City invest the money well. Danny Ward perhaps? Welsh 'Keeper, promotion experience, no chance on playing at Liverpool. Seems like it could be a good move for all parties.
