However, speaking to NOS, Simons said on his international future, “I only have a Dutch passport, but I could apply for a Spanish passport, but not at the moment. Whether you should be afraid that I will choose Spain? No, no,” Simons feels honoured to represent Oranje, “I feel proud when I am here and I like to play with guys I don’t normally play with. Playing for your country is very beautiful,”
