I see Palace have changed their mind over Steve and now don't want to sell him back. I suspect it's for more money.

I think the fee doesn't cover his wages for past season, agent fees, 'loyalty bonus', yearly survival bonus, accommodation, PL inflation etc. That and I have a suspicion that our owners are not best pleased with Marseille because it seemed just after after christmas both Steve and Cabaye had heads turned. One ruled his sleeves up and was the role model professional, the other never played again. I'm sure there is other factors in play but given he could have been a club legend because of his ability im quite disgusted by his apparent lack of professionalism.

The guy is clearly a quality Goalkeeper so the fact only Marseille have bidded for him speaks volumes that everybody working behind the scenes knows something's that's gone on and he will be eventually going there.

    Anything on a new manager?

It's like The Apprentice at the moment. There's been about 12 suitable candidates and ones getting ruled out every week.

Apart from Chris Coleman who for whatever reason thought it was appropriate to say he wasn't interested before he was spoken too.

  2. Jonny Williams, that teenager that you may remember became totally amazing on Fifa 12, and you didn't hear of again until he was celebrating with Wales as if he won The World Cup when England lost to Iceland, has signed a new contract.

Hes got progressively worse in about four loan spells with Ipswich and couldn't start for a relegated MK Dons team. I know we all want to see academy players come through but Jesus Christ just let him go. He's never going to reach his full potential here. He's either injured, injured on loan, or miraculously healed for Euro 2016. Another two years he's wasting here.

so Liverpool is about to bid again for Salah. I heard the amount will be around 30 million but I think Roma won't sell their best player for less than 40. He's one of the top 3 wingers in the world right now.

Really? He's played well in Serie A but to say he's one of the top three in the world seems a bit excessive.

  4. After having to endure Goldberg as Champion, Roman Reigns win at WrestleMania, and now seeing what's happened at Backlash I think that's me done from wrestling for a while.

They know they can take the piss out of there loyal fans by giving them the opposite of what they want and making a load of money overseas instead. The most annoying thing is I understand why they've done it.  They've created a heel with real go away heat that's going to get massive reactions and whereever they go and make a load of money off it. But it's not something I want to see.

Eh, it's between the players at the club. They thought it was a nice gesture towards the bloke, it really doesn't matter if anyone else didn't like it.

There was always after the match, you know, during the celebration ceremony. Or even give him his own testimonial. Doing this during a competitive match is cringeworthy, its embarrassing, and its pisstake for the Sunderland fans who travelled all that way and spent all that money.

I expect Bournemouth to have a chariot now when Eddie Howe leaves them.

Just switched on Goals On Sunday, Ranieri and Karanka are the guests. For some reason Ranieri is being a real cock, giving ridiculously short answers and looking completely uninterested. Why agree to do a show if you're gonna be like that? I've never seen Ranieri like this tbd but still, it's a bit shitty.

Many people have said that he has a different persona in person than he does in front of the media. Still seems mad to think after last season he's unemployed.

Love it. Not the bid but Usmanov saying Wenger should pick the next manager because they need continuity. I seem to recall an old red nosed cunt picking a cod's heed to replace him at one of the Manchester clubs for continuity and stability purposes.

Agreed. Had Moyes been interviewed and said his transfer plans were to sign Leighton Baines and Mauroanne Fellaini the club could have saved themselves a lot of hassle.

His track record speaks for itself in terms of winning things but at this moment he can't be considered in the elite group because he's had to take a step back due to how things ended at Napoli and Real Madrid.

Id argue every club he has managed this decade have got worse by the time he left than when he took over.

The disgusting thing is that now he's gone there's no chance for the family of Keith Bennett to know where they buried his body. Brady had been asking to die for nearly two decades but they insisted on keeping him alive spending thousands and thousands to do so, no doubt from taxpayers' pockets.

Brady was desperate to get out of Ashworth. That was his last 'battle' and he lost it.

The sad thing is I think there may have been more children killed by him and Myra Hindley, and he doesn't remember where Keith Bennett was buried.

Good riddance to one of the most sinister and evil people of our lifetime.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Newcastle won something next season. Rafa is a born winner.

Did he win anything at Napoli? I know he won The Europa League with Chelsea but other than that I'm struggling to think of major achievements since Liverpool. He was a fantastic Manager over a decade ago, but I wouldn't have him in an elite group any more. Plus Newcastle haven't been known historically to prioritise cup competitions.

I hope he does win something. It's quite crazy to think given their support I can't think of the last major trophy they won. He's done a great job galvanising the fans, the board and the players as one.

  11. Well we'd be screwed without him. In terms of ability he's the best player i've ever seen play for Palace. Really looking forward to see what happens with him next season.

I imagine the big contenders will be Wilfred Zaha, Jason Puncheon and Yohan Cabaye. Zaha will get it again because the fans love him but I think the other two have been more impressive. Puncheon has not only reinvented himself as a central midfielder through his hard work, professionalism and dedication (which are traits you would have never have associated with him until he joined us) at a time when he very easily could have just faded off after scoring for his boyhood club at Wembley. Whilst Cabaye has had an impact in almost every game he's played but will never really get his true recognition for us because of how much he gets paid in comparison to the other players bar Benteke.
