I disagree with the earlier comparisons to the Pellegrini situation at Man City. Pellegrini was practically a corpse and that experiment had ran its course. Jurgen Klopp is the type of infectious character that players are willing to run the extra yard for. They'll find extra motivation in wanting to win for him now and give him the send off they think he deserves.

Pellegrini was always a stand in for Pep, he knew when he signed when he was leaving

Good choice from VAR, Vicario was far too weak there

Think he fouled Dias if anything  ..curse lifted 0-1FT but we made hard work of it, KDB missing from 7 yards, Alvarez blasting over from close range and shocking passing all game

If they are relegated surely they're are spend rules and salary caps they'd need to stay within.

They'd surely have to sell their whole first team squad.

Haaland alone would cost 200+million :4_joy: i would love to see Pep guild our academy players through the lower leagues, winning all the time gets boring doesn't it?

As much as i would love us to drop down to division 2 and start again we wont even get a points deduction mate, it will be impossible for the premier league to prove any wrong doing. they are accusing over 100 people of fraud

I found out a bit about this yesterday. Initially Man City wanted what would have been an eight figure outlay and there wasn't the interest they anticipated. They have since said they'd take a five million flat fee and pay his wages, which has perked the interest of a lot of Premier League clubs, so I expect the final fee to be somewhere in the middle.

He's going to WHU mate, they have agreed to pay his wages and the 5million loan fee

I thinks it is more a case of us not wanting to be forced to pay 40m on top of a 6m loan for a player who will be thirty and 3 years since his last good season.

We are not going to overplay to help city break even on a player with a 35m book debt.

I think you are snookered with FFP too. the thing is other clubs are willing to pay what we want so why would we sell for less?

No smoke without fire. He'd be the best short term solution for a side in our position until Doucoure returns but you'd think Newcastle could offer him just as much game time with there unavailable list.

It sounds like we're waiting Ekitike to make a decision before pushing for an attacking forward as his decision is likely to start a domino effect ie. if he goes West Ham then Ings is available.

Looking like the Newcastle deal is dead at the moment. don't know if Phillips would want a permanent transfer to Palace with Munich & Juventus interested in a summer move but he'd be a great short term loan for you lot
