  1. Ok, so if a manager is failing miserably because his players, that hes only just met, just dont suit the new managers system, and therefore are in really poor form.. you think he should just carry on with that one singular philosophy? Very restricted viewpoint but fair enough.
  2. What a bizarre way of looking at it? I didn't mean a manager just taking over at a new club should GIVE IN to his players (cant believe I'm having to explain this tbh), I meant that he should be flexible enough to implement a formation that suits the players hes got, rather than just stick to his guns!
  3. If you dont have the personnel to implement a formation then you simply dont implement that specific formation. A good manager, when first taking over a club, picks a formation that suits the players. Not the other way round.
  4. 3 - 1 win away at Bradford today. Milner with 2 and another for young Brewster.
  5. You can press high with energy and be quick in transition whilst still being tactically defensive mate Anyway, I'm really not that arsed. I am however intrigued to see how Lampard fairs with a top Premier League team. Maybe he needs to be tactically defensive with Chelsea to reach any sort of success? All out attack with this Chelsea side could be the wrong way to go about things? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.
  6. As I said, I cant really comment because I didn't take that much notice but I'm not going to question a Derby season ticket holder who watched them live virtually every game that Lampard was in charge.
  7. I know a derby fan and hes not arsed one bit that Lampard's gone. Reckons hes too defensive? Cant say I ever took enough notice really.
  8. Yeah, good first half from us. Young Brewster with a brace.
  9. He's a decent option from the bench and has a knack of scoring important goals, if we choose to actually keep him. If not then this new contract keeps his value in the market pretty high if nothing else.
  10. What about all City's ground out wins towards the end of the season, like the Kompany worldy for example?
  11. How was their consistency more natural? We lost one game all season. You cant get much more consistent than that! You are a funny chap you really are
  12. Yeah maybe legend was a bit extreme, more like popular ex players etc
  13. This really could go all tits up for Chelsea, it's a very risky plan bringing in all the club legends.
  14. I wouldn't go as high as a billion I would however (if I was involved in the negotiations) issue a public statement telling them that they can have him for £300m or shut the fuck up. I would also tell them that £50m will be added every time the sly twats leak bollocks to the press. Seriously, Barca have overtook Madrid as the ugliest club in world football. Salah probably realises though that we are better than Barcelona, both in terms of playing staff, coaching staff and popularity.
  15. Where have you heard that mate? I ask because all the medical reports from his failed medical with us explained that the operation Fekir had on his knee was a cheap bodge job which left loads of soft scar tissue that is more than likely to tear again. Basically the professional medics that carried out the medical strongly suggested that it was a case of when, not if, his knee gave way again. I dont think we would have pulled out of a £53m deal at the very last minute if the only issue was Fekir getting arthritis when hes retired.
  16. In training at Utd when Pogba was about 12 probably.
  17. Ox set to sign a new deal. Apparently reward for all the work hes put into getting back fit from an injury that was apparently career threatening. Nice one.
  18. We've done the same with a couple of players in the past. Sign them from South America, cant get a work permit, loan them out season after season, sell them or let them go on a free. Pointless really.
  19. Not sure about that. The players and Klopp himself have previously said that Hendo is by far and away the biggest influence in the dressing room bar none.
  20. VVD joint favourite to win the ballon d'or. What a signing he has been.
  21. You're right, Klopp has already burnt his bridges when he said that hed never manage a club like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG or Manchester United (who he already turned down). Hes not interested in clubs that can just buy anyone they want, hes much more about team bonding and improving/developing young players. He also loves clubs where the club has a real connection with the fans and I think Klopp and Liverpool are a perfect fit. I cant see him going anywhere soon.
