Played 5 minutes this season I think then got injured again. Shame about the injuries because he's a great player on his day. Obviously not contributed as much as we'd hoped when he signed but I don't think he's the failure some will make out. Liverpool's best run post league win was during 21/22 when Thiago and Fabinho were key in midfield.

Shame Matip's time with us ended how it did. One of Klopp's earliest signings and a very good player for us, playing his part alongside Van Dijk in our very best period under Klopp

Yeah, I share the same feelings for both. Really shame that both couldn’t end the season fit, but it’s pretty much summed up their time here. Both quality players, but unfortunately really injury prone.

  2. Brighton need to invest well this summer. They’ve let him down not replacing Trossard, Caicedo and MacAllister. I don’t understand why they didn’t invest more last summer when they had Europa as an extra selling point. Injuries have hurt them though, but the fact is that I think they are missing a proper bit of quality in the midfield and up front. Danny Welbeck is good up until a point, but they can do better.

I do wonder, if I wasn't so invested in FPL with friends, how much I'd care about modern day Premier League football. It's incredibly boring seeing the same team win all the time.

I might give Serie A a go at the start of next season, at least that feels like an open field for the first part of the season.

I’m seriously losing patience with it. I’m not even excited to see what our new manager will do, all my enthusiasm has been destroyed by not only us cocking up our title chances, but them lot winning another.

West Ham are going to roll over and take everything City throw at them. It’ll be pathetic.

It’s not bizarre in the slightest and you of all people should get it. If you winning a pretty meaningless end of season game meant Everton or Man United won the league there’s not a chance you’d want that to happen.

Tribalism is one of the best things about football, without it it’s incredibly dull.

But there is something to play for. Would you bet on Villa to beat a revived Palace? That’s a close bet, and you have Sheffield.

Your team is about as good as Dortmund and look where they are. Plus, we know the CL makes you more attractive to better players.

Fully agree on wanting to lose if it’s a dead rubber, but there’s a lot for spurs to play for here.

I feel like people have gone way overboard on their criticism of Liverpool the last few weeks. It was always meant to be a transitional season but the desperation to win the title and more in Klopp's last season has skewed opinions I feel.

I feel like you’re still looking at the season with the same glasses as you had on in August, prior to it starting. Things change, and the team got itself into a position where the title was entirely possible. Getting bombed out of Europe by an inferior team (credit to Atalanta, but we should have been in the final of the cup) then losing at home to palace, being embarrassed by Everton & then giving up two points to West Ham in the space of a fortnight is a total collapse.

The players get credit for the work they put in, but that credit is zapped away quite quickly when you look at the last 6 weeks. It’s not just the results and points dropped, it’s the performances which have been really concerning and at times, downright unprofessional. Some of the defending in the Everton game…fuck me, that was a disgrace. Against your city rivals…that’s not on.
