But there is something to play for. Would you bet on Villa to beat a revived Palace? That’s a close bet, and you have Sheffield.
Your team is about as good as Dortmund and look where they are. Plus, we know the CL makes you more attractive to better players.
Fully agree on wanting to lose if it’s a dead rubber, but there’s a lot for spurs to play for here.
There really truly isn’t mate. Champions league does very little for us. I’d rather be in the europa and have a chance of winning it than struggle through a CL campaign.
I get it for Villa, they’ve never been there since it was the CL. But we have many times. It means I know our transfer strategy doesn’t change regardless of what competition we are in. We don’t need the cash as we have zero FFP concerns and ultimately we aren’t good enough to beat city anyway. If we’d cared that much they should have been up for the Newcastle and Chelsea games, not this one.
There is so little benefit to winning tonight, and the vast majority of our fan base would much rather lose it and have city win the league than put up with the most insufferable fan base in the world lauding over us with a title victory we helped achieve. It’s so simple

Bizarre. I think this is a common mentality amongst fans of clubs whose rivals are much bigger and more successful than them though
It’s not bizarre in the slightest and you of all people should get it. If you winning a pretty meaningless end of season game meant Everton or Man United won the league there’s not a chance you’d want that to happen.
Tribalism is one of the best things about football, without it it’s incredibly dull.

I’m there tonight and I’ll be cheering you on. Loving my annual spell as City fan in the spring.

If you beat City you’re a point off 4th going into the last game. Don’t roll over just yet.
Villa have palace away on the last day, they could have fucked this if Spurs do something big tomorrow night.
We don’t care about fourth. We aren’t good enough for CL anyway, we’ve been there done that. City are far too good for us regardless
Hope they smash us

I guess for united Arsenal winning the league would be the less of 3 evils
I’m not sure it would, don’t think they’ve forgotten the wenger Ferguson rivalry. Think they may want City still as we all know those titles are completely meaningless

You'd assume Arsenal have the title wrapped up now with their form and run in. Unfortunately seems nailed on they win it

Just want to shout out Paratici and our recruitment team over the last couple of years. We are not there yet and still plenty of room for improvement but to rebuild the squad as we have over the past few years with some exceptional young signings has been very satisfying. Of course some haven’t worked out as well as others but:
Udogie and Sarr for 15 million each is exceptional value. Both young players that are going to go on to have brilliant careers. Van De Ven is perfect for this league. Quick, tall, strong, reads the game so well, good on the ball. I was slightly sceptical in the summer because I didn’t know much about him but he’s so so good. Pedro Porro might be my favourite player. He was expensive, he started off horribly, we were told he was just a wing back but how wrong was this. What a footballer, would be perfect for Pep. Then there is Vicario. What an upgrade on Hugo he was. He has everything you want in a #1 , including personality. Got to keep adding to these, and still some question marks for me in forward positions but it’s great seeing these players develop

I think when you consider we had our second choice keeper and fifth choice centre back, it's an excellent performance. I was worried they'd target Quansah today but he was brilliant.
What a squad Klopp is leaving for the next man
Playing devils advocate, do you believe this? Or is not Klopps brilliance getting such performances out of these players? Possibly a bit of both but I’m not convinced these same players would be performing like this without Klopp
