  1. No dramas, any info you want just ask. I never went to Miami. That's a long old drive that, looking at 3 1/2 to 4 hours but to be fair I enjoyed driving out there. If you've never driven on American roads before, you won't have anything to worry about. It's far easier than here, especially if you're driving an automatic. No roundabouts. Just remember you can turn right when a light is red unless it tells you no. And petrol is so cheap out there. Cost me 30 dollars to fill up.
  2. I went for 2 and a half weeks late April/early May. Obviously did the parks. Some were great, some good and some not so good. If you love Star Wars then Hollywood Studios is cool, especially the fireworks/hologram display at the end of the night. Make full use of the waterparks as they are endless fun. Don't go on a weekend, only a weekday as it's far emptier. If you are into a couple lazy days at the beach, go to Clearwater. It's about an hour and half drive but what a stunning beach. Well worth it especially if you want some chill time. You can surf there too. Other things I'd recommend are swimming with Manatee's at Crystal River, it's quite surreal. You can also do an Airboat ride through the everglades and see plenty of Croc's but I wouldn't say you'd miss out if you didn't. Not really into Kennedy Space Centre but lot's of people seem to go there if you're into that kinda thing. Also a place called Forever Florida, a big cattle ranch where you can do horseback riding, Ziplines, a kinda Go Ape thing going on and swamp-buggy tours. Make sure you do Discovery Cove. Amazing. Snorkling with all those fish and rays in the water is class. I did the Dolphin swim which was great too but again, it's not essential. We also loved the little Mini Golf courses they have out there. Pretty good fun to be fair. Go down to CityWalk and Disney Springs for a couple night's out, really good atmosphere down there with lot's of entertainment going on. If you are fussed about info for the parks then the main thing I'd say is hit the busier one's in the week and leave the smaller one's to a weekend. Plan out your Fast Passes if you are doing any at any of the Disney Parks and if you are going to places like SeaWorld, Busch Gardens etc, it's a good investment getting those drink cups that are refillable because you can use them across several parks in the same category. Some pretty quality places to go eat as well like Texas Roadhouse, Applebee's etc. I don't think there was one point where I managed to eat a starter, main course and a dessert in one sitting. Portions were just too big.
  3. Just came back from 2 and a half weeks in Orlando. Shared a Villa with two other couples which worked out a treat. First time I've been to the States. Was pretty awesome. Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Universal, Aquatica, Clearwater Beach and Hollywood Studios were probably my favourite places visited over the course of the holiday. Little disappointed in SeaWorld if I'm honest. All I've done is go away so far this year, been very lucky. That's Budapest, Barcelona and Orlando ticked so far. Berlin next month and Lisbon in September. Need to book a week/10 days for a chill out beach holiday too later in the year around October.
  4. Logan. Pretty solid 7.5/10. On a sidenote, saw a couple of Oscar nominated movies the other day finally. Manchester By The Sea...very bland IMO. 6/10 tops. Not sure what on earth the hype was over this one purely on the strength of acting from one character. And Moonlight. 7/10. Again, not sure why there was so much fuss. First segment was decent, Second segment really good but the third segment, massively boring and underdeveloped. Real shame IMO because it could have been so much better.
  5. Glad you enjoyed Dublin. My GF surprised me and took me away to Dublin last November. I'd never been and was gagging to go. Honestly, couldn't agree with you more. Loved Temple Bar and all the pubs down that cobbly road, the atmosphere when we went was fantastic. No trouble, friendly people, live music everywhere which I bloody love. We also did the Guiness tour which is something you have to do really. Was ok, glad we did it because I found it very interesting, especially the taster room, but the sky bar at the top was far too packed time we went up to sample a brew. We actually went to the Rugby to watch Ireland v Australia which was brilliant and the Zoo. Probably one of the best Zoo's I've been too. As for this year, I did Budapest in February which was a beautiful city. Loved the ruin bars. Szimpla Kert is without doubt one of the quirkiest places I've ever been to for a drink. And last weekend we went to Barcelona. Did everything from the Nou Camp tour, Casa Batllo, Segrada Familla, Park Guell to even going to Barca v Valencia Sunday night. Thoroughly recommend. Florida in April, Berlin in June and Lisbon in September all booked. Really going for it this year...
