One of the Liverpool fans in my work is a proper deluded gimp and argues till he's blue in the face that Nunez is on par with Haaland, that gets grief because it's fashionable to rip into him.

Darwin's absolutely dogshite and is a real rare poor deal for you lot. It's genuinely like playing with 10 men, very much like Rashford at United but for different reasons.

Never knew you worked with Mel81x.

He does have good goal involvement stats and it wouldn’t be so bad if he was paired with a reliable goal scorer.

But playing him as our #9 in our front 3… he’s just not good enough. He’s good at everything but finishing - it’s 1 thing to be well rounded, it’s another thing to be well rounded EXCEPT being bad at the one thing you expect strikers to be above average at.

I’m just so tired of seeing him grinning after he misses yet another sitter. He’s more trouble than he’s worth imo.

In the hope the chances don't fall to him? 😉

  3. Not long ago many non Liverpool fans on here did question Nunez and if he is good enough. Quite a few on here said yes and threw round stats of how good his goal involvement is etc. It was quite obvious that he's not good enough. In the games against us this season. Anytime he was in promising positions and situations. Personally as a Utd fan I never had any fear as I knew on most occasions that he'd mess it up. Nunez for Firminho and Diaz for Mane. Two thirds of your front line replaced. For me the difference is night and day.

WE ARE A GENERATION THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK.

A generation that played hide and seek when dark.
A generation that made mud cakes.
A generation that collected sports cards.
A generation that found, collected and washed & Returned empty coke bottles to the local grocery store for tuppence each , then bought a Mountain Dew and candy bar with the money.
A generation that made paper toys with their bare hands.
A generation who bought vinyl albums to play on record players.
A generation that collected photos and albums of clippings of their life experiences as a Kid.
A generation that played board games and cards on rainy days.
A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem.

A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn't know we were still awake.

You are fucking joking right? :4_joy: we are the most hated club in football now. i don't even think people hate united anymore now you've done nothing for the last decade you are largely irrelevant we just laugh at you now while the older fans still think they are in the glory days and people still care about them, your just a midtable team mate nobody cares

100% true we are shit. But we'll always be box office and generate more news and attention no matter how shite we are.

There was more jeopardy of reliability failures in the past but we get tricked by highlight reels into thinking that there was always a battle for the lead or a close championship fight.

In the past where I was properly obsessed with F1, I'd sometimes torrent full seasons from the past and watch them to get my fix. Honestly the majority of races you'd get down to 4th or 5th on the grid and the gap to pole would be over a second, outside the top 10 would be 2+ seconds off the pace. Then the races you'd have one guy leading by 40 seconds and lapping everyone outside the top 4 or 5 cars.

Modern F1 could be a lot better but the 70s-90s F1 aren't the answer either. Honestly the era I got into it in the 2005-2012 years was my favourite. Most years were competitive between 2-3 teams and overtaking was possible but not too easy.

Them years you mentioned. Top of my head I remember at least 4 seasons going to the last race.

Formula one kind of sucks these days, going through the nineties there were lots spicy moments.  It feels like we have had near 20 years of one way dominance and racing rules that negate racing.

Looking at the 70s, 80s and 90's. There was some form of variety in who won the title. Since 2000 you've had a single team dominating for years till the main regulation changes come in. After that, new regulations with a new team dominating.
