Danny
Anyone watched this? Not sure if Savage is putting on the David Brent persona on purpose or not....but it's entertaining, feels like a mockumentary at times
Ploughendplonker
I enjoyed the documentary, but Savage does come across like quite a thin-skinned bloke. They go to an away game, they're filming him entering the ground at what I presume is a couple of hours before kick off, he's walking past the volunteers and the conversation goes something like this.... "Golden goal Mr Savage" "No thank you" "50/50 Mr Savage" "No thank you" "Thought you might with all your money" This subtle dig really got his back up and started ranting about what a difficult time Macclesfield had been through..etc.. I thought it was quite interesting when the businessman who bought the club (I forget his name) was being interviewed about how he made his money (specifically about selling his business for many millions) and he said "when you can afford anything you want, the enjoyment just goes".
