Dave Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 The takeover of Charlton Athletic took a step closer on Wednesday after club director Richard Murray confirmed that a price had been agreed between owner Roland Duchatelet and two interested parties. Charlton fans have held numerous demonstrations against the Belgian owner, who has been keen to sell the club for more than a year. However, it looks like a deal could be concluded in the next few weeks.
Smiley Culture Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 About time, too. It's been an unmitigated disaster since the day he walked in, except he never actually walked in, because Duchatelet has never actually bothered turning up to The Valley and he left Katrien Miere to be the face of the club during his rein of terror. I just hope the new ownership puts the club back on an even keel, lives within their means and just generally runs the club how a Football Club should be run.
Danny Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 I generally always picture the following when people mention Charlton; Alan Curbishley, Darren Bent, The Valley on television and that Robin van Persie goal.
