According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Ilicic is Carlo Ancelotti’s ‘first objective’ for the summer and has already negotiated a three-year contract with Napoli, worth €2.2m a season. Furthermore, the Partenopei are hopeful of agreeing a deal worth €12m, with the possibility of sending Roberto Inglese in the opposite direction. Inglese has yet to play an official match for Napoli since arriving from Chievo in 2017 and has spent the past campaign on loan at Parma. The Slovene, meanwhile, has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists for Atalanta, who are only one win away from a top-four finish in Serie A. Di Marzio notes the 31-year-old’s future rests on whether his club qualify for the Champions League. Interesting signing to say the least.
