OK so have it now - sent it early as I was not sure where I would be today, but at home so easy to log in!  Not sure I can wait for the restart, but the PL is OK for now - not quite the same though!  Special best wishes to Tommy and Nudge - long time together and hope it continues.🥰

PS  Have always liked younf Selke - hope his year is good!

  3. I am really trying hard to think what we have done do wrong that anyone wold even think of bringing Magrat back.  Sorry Tommy, it's not fun and that idea is certainly not funny.  We are already short of money and his was always a desire to fleece the club as much as possible which would suggest he will not even consider coming back as we have none left!!!!! Aws for nudge, at no time in her darkest days have I ever given an indication that I was hapopy with that - not fair on her to be way way now.  There is enough pain around without our 'friends' giving us more😪

  4. Here's a bit of good news for City fans who are on hold with the injury to Kalvin P.  Read the Wifi page on Mike Lampkowski.  I took a young lad named Steve Tinker to Middleborough for the first UK op using the dacron ligament and both he and Mike successfully played again.  Some guy called Robson had the same thing on a shoulder problem with success so Kalvin's present injury could well benefit from the Keio Ligament (sometimes called the Leeds-Keio) which might be a good name for KP.  Mike was told that the Japanese 'inventor' had used it on Cows as an experiment and when he tried to damege the resulting fibre insert, he actually broke the Cow's leg first before the ligament.  Hope someone in charge picks up on this as a possible solution.

  5. Still alive - still here and will be travelling to Germany on 13 October for a 'fest' in Herne  Should be able to get in the weekend game provided 04 get things sorted by then - at the moment I have kept quiet due to the dismal perfomances and ineptness on all sides culminating in Saturday's 11 against 10 great showing in Stuttgart.  regards to all - especially nudge and tommy - stay safe people!

  6. Having transferred my collection of 45's to CD's (app 72,000 titles) I have now found one which somehow I never sold.  Its an old Col Us 45 of Mary Martin and Son Larry (Hagman) in the original Columbia paper sleeve and probably has been played no more than three times - not quite mint but nearly!  Anyone any idea whether it is of any value?

  7. Looking forward to this lunchtime and to see who Mike will choose as opposed to the nonesense the last 'coach' was doing.  I have kept quiet and away from here - I never wanted to be part of the 'let's get rid of' group which changes our leader every few months - but something had to give and now perhaps there is a chance of moving up the table again - sorry for nudge that her lot were not able to hang on last night but the light at the end of the tunnel has not yet been extinguished.  Still have not been able to change young Max's shirt to a Danish one, but they seem to be keeping him on the same bench which Hodgsen and the others have been using for two years now - sad really!  As a final thoughts - I have noted at least three youung guys on the books who should all be replacing Bulter and his pathetice ability to play football - Terrode needs help and has been great - mainly on his own - but the days of Max and Leon in the middle must be a haunting thought for what Terrode could do with that sort of service.  Just an hour to go......

  8. My Daughter has bought a house in Holly Springs - a really nice area with a public pool about 4 minutes walk from the house and easy to get to the triangle and Raleigh and Cary.

Might be worth a look if you have to move.

I'm still not sure what people dislike so much about Merkel. She's respected across the world, led Germany through some 6 U.S. Presidents and remained on great terms, rose the GDP and I think she did well with all the Brexit shit.

I wish she could come here and lead our country for a decade, although the way politics are here, I wouldn't wish that for anyone.

Some six years ago I was asked to address a group of English and German Friends when we visited the Parliament with the Members representing the Ruhr area in the building on the Rhine in Dusseldorf.  The UK was having its usual argument about the EU and we were, under David Cameron, in a bit of a mess.  My largest round of applause was when I suggested that those in Germany who were not too happy with her leadership could have an exchange - we take Angela and they could have David.  I often wonder where we would be now if that had happened - not many politicians get the respect she does - not only at home but from other people and countries.  I hope your next choice is a good!

  10. Not sure if this is the correct thread for this, but last night I watched Angela's conference with President Biden and this morning we have seen the awful scenes in Dusseldorf as the Rhine has got bigger and bigger.  I have sat many times on the banks near the Parliament building when Summer has been kind and know that Tommy's residence is not too far away.  I hope he knows that we are all wanting to send him our best and really hope that he and family are not affected too much at the moment.  So frustrating that we cannot do anything other than offer words due to the present problems, but, my young friend, we are thinking about you!:x

  11. You are correct, of course,  which is why I said wait until Mittersill - the games there are against Zenit, Shakhtar and Arnheim - perhaps they will give us a bit more insight into the new squad which scored the 22-0 against the Amateurs.  Only serious comment would could make so far is that one or two of the now seem to know what that area between the posts is for........that's more than one could say about the gang which finished the last season!

  12. This season is a time to rebuild with the younger players - not to bring in more of the senior guys who will take lots of money - and then run.  I feel really sorry for young Serdar. Not simply because he has gone to Hertha, but because he will be tormented by the Prince who is a total disaster in any dressing room and I would never wish him on anyone after what he did at 04 - only glad that the idiots still there did not contemplate brining his back.  There is no doubt that GB still has class, but the young Welsh guys need him - that defeat to Denmark does not cancel out the promise they showed in other games and they do appear to have total respect for him as a leader.  Perhaps that I where his future lies!  Silly pre season games so far - 2 matches and 22 goals scored - not sure what that says other than let's wait for the games in Austria before we start to count the chickens.....

Final thought:  Pity liverbird is not around.  Her young guy from RW Essen had a blinder yesterday - I know they were amateurs, but Becker proved what an asset we have at right back - question is how long will the idiots let him stay?  If in doubt watch the highlights on You Tube.
