I'm not saying that letter is totally made out to be Fergie when it's not....

But Fergie didn't send it xD

Why would one of the most hard faced twats in football history suddenly send a soppy letter to an arrogant French bloke? Moreover, why would Fergie include Utd's financial situation in the letter?

Utd couldn't afford a top striker?

Utd under Fergie were breaking transfer records right, left and centre xD

Load of shite .... "Hi Eric its Fergie, I luv you and would love you to visit me sometime and oh did I mention we cant afford a top striker"?

    Fuck sake xD

It definitely looks like the sort of letter that Fergie would write tbh.

Regarding the striker comments, I would imagine that Ferguson was talking about competing with the richest clubs in Europe at the time, which we should have been one of, but we were hamstrung by being a PLC. There is an interview with former chaiman Martin Edwards where he speaks of Sir Alex's frustrations at not being able to compete with the top Italian and Spanish clubs for the best foreign players. Sure, we spent a lot on British players and broke the British transfer record several times but Alan Shearer has also stated several times that he didn't turn us down when he joined Blackburn (although he did later when he went to Newcastle).  He said the move to United broke down because we couldn't get the money quick enough due to being a PLC so he went to Blackburn instead who didn't have that issue.

In hindsight I'd rather be a PLC and not be owned byvthe Glazers though

Barnes spot on as usual on this topic. I'd like to see him given a prominent role in Kick It Out as they don't really seem to do much. Then again those organisations never do.

If you have to resort to racism (especially to slate Pogba, someone who gives you a hundred reasons to despise the cunt every week), then I think you definitely have some deep rooted issues that need sorting out

  3. If Ole has any bollocks about him he'll start turfing out the prima donas like Pogba, Lingard, Martial and Lukaku as well as the utter shit like Sanchez, Jones, Smalling, Young etc.

It is literally square one and the first thing to do is to ensure the dressing room only contains players who have the mentality and character to play for the club. If you want to dab, promote your poncey clothes or spend your life on Instagram then kindly fuck off and do it elsewhere

  4. Alexis Sanchez really does need shipping out. £400k a week for a player who makes Nani look like Ronaldo. I think even Bebe and Obertan did more. In his interview the other day he couldn't even speak English. How long has he lived here? Would that not set alarm bells ringing when you went to sign him? "He what? How long has he been in London again? What... not a word? OK, see ya"

The funniest part was his claim that that clattering into a linesman while warming up wasn't the reason for his "not being on my game like I usually am" because his display was exactly like he usually is - absolute shite.

As soon as Mourinho said he wanted to sign this cunt and pay him best part of £2m a month is the moment he should have been sacked. The fact that Ed Woodward sanctioned the deal and then gave Mourinho a contract extension is also the moment he should have been pushed in front of a lorry

True. But the glaziers aren't like Mike Ashley or kronke. In some ways they are worse because they take alot of money out the club but they don't restrict utd in the transfer market.

Arsenal have spent plenty since they moved into the Emirates. I'd be shocked if their current policy of reigning in their spending wasn't due to Wenger's abysmal wage policy, severely overpaying bang average players because he believes in some silly socilaist utopia. Appaently he has a degree in economics too which says a lot about the education system

  6. Absolutely delighted that we're not going to be losing Ashley Young or Phil Jones. Having these two legends at the club for the foreseeable future will be crucial. Apparently Phil Jones is the new Duncan Edwards according to Ferguson. It's just that he's older than Edwards ever was and nowhere near as good.

Hopefully we can sign up our other huge important players up like Valencia and Smalling. What a huge boost that would be

Well, do you see anything tactically astute or systematically sound when you watch United under Ole? To me it looks like a team with a bunch of players who have the buzz of a new manager and are actually enjoying themselves. This honeymoon period isn't anything new. It was the same with us under DiMatteo. It was only until the next season we saw how limited he was as a manager.

No, not at all. It's pretty much exactly like Paul Ince said. I just don't see what he did/didn't do at Cardiff has anything remotely to do with how he'd do at United. A honeymoon period is exactly what it is so far and probably all it ever will be. Far better than anything I've seen since Ferguson retired though

  8. One of the things that I find weird of late is that a manager who managed 'Club A' (let's say, a relegation battling Prem side/shit Spanish side) would be unsuitable for a job at 'Club B' (one of the biggest clubs in the world) because people actually think that the two jobs are comparable in terms of finances, setup, expectations, squads etc.

Clearly I am alluding to Solskjaer and Neville here but it happens all the time on a broader spectrum and I really don't get it. A lot more comes into the equation than "He did shit at Cardiff so obviously he will be shit at Manchester United". Do people honestly think the two jobs are in any way comparable given the vast differences in the aforementoned finances, expectations etc?

In the same way do you honestly think Klopp, Guardiola or Zidane would be winning the league with AFC Wimbledon? Course they wouldn't. They'd be well out of their depth although I reckon Klopp would do well at a club of that level given a bit of time.
