It will be interesting to see how the world would prepare for such pandemic...how well we can contain and mitigate the impact, will countries ultimately work to benefit the populace and prevent future pandemics with actual social safety nets or do they dig in to further entrench the status quo and profiteering corporations.

The amount of deaths in Italy surely does have to do how the younger ones acted while it was not that much serious

This made me realize that whether rich or poor governments weren't prepared for this because of all the progress in science and medicine no one really thought this would happen at such scale and public isn't ready either generations before us faced World Wars, great depressions, famines etc at we thought we won't have to sacrifice or face anything like this.
