  1. Aldi is legendary. In the 90's it had a bit of a bad image, because they mostly sold cheap stuff. And you got made fun of in school if you wore something from Aldi or if you were seen there. The Turks used to shop there a lot, and there was a bit of a scandal when Germany played Turkey, and the German fans taunted the Turkish fans by holding up Aldi bags Nowadays they're the leading super market in Germany, and offer plenty of proper brands instead of their own. Decent clothes too. Just checked, I think every piece of clothing on me is from Aldi right now Aldi Swedish.... K*lsch in Düsseldorf
  2. A Hidden Life, Trailer 2. @nudge This looks so good. The last Malick movies were all as beautiful as they can get, but lacked something plot-wise (I still loved them for Malick reasons). This looks much better!
  3. This is funny too. https://streamable.com/2lg6r Max thinks Alex doesn't understand anagrams Chritian Klien!
  4. Sourness hmmm, I've never tasted that in Veltins. It's funny how we all see and judge beers differently. Matter of taste, regional factors, or whatever. Quite interesting. As long as we all drink the beer we like, it's all good
  5. Veltins is VERY mild. Nothing special about it.
  6. Warsteiner is actually one of the worst German lagers IMO. It's always on offer in the stores here
  7. We drink Altbier here, which is quite the opposite of light and close to water Although Faithcore wouldn't agree that it's good, but he just drinks girly drinks like Kölsch, Pils and probably.......Radler
  8. You miss the point. If you order a K*lsch in Düsseldorf, you'll most likely get bewildered looks, or you get politely yet firmly asked to leave.
  9. Some reading material for you: https://www.departful.com/2013/09/cologne-versus-dusseldorf-a-rivalry/ K*lsch. Come on.
  10. Offline for a while, I want Eco banned when I return
  11. Rot-Weiß Essen is still a legendary club with a huge history. Helmut Rahn alone is a German footballing legend. Not yet. My father is though.
  12. Hmm, I think a lot of people from South Düsseldorf and North Cologne support Leverkusen. Then you have big-ish towns like Langenfeld, Monheim, Solingen next to Leverkusen. Also, Fortuna is known for having a lof of "fashion fans" who only feel like turning up when we're doing great. I don't think those people are interested in becoming club members.
  13. And then you got Hoeneß saying Süle should forget about the Euros. Way to encourage your player.
  14. Yup, they're a great team. McLaren really doing well without Fernando's toxicity
  15. I agree. At first people kind of laughed it off, because he was young (very young), made a few mistakes, was overly aggressive, which kind of clouded his raw pace, that was still always there. Now he matured, drives that way, outscores every teammate they come up with, and manages to challenge the Mercedes and Ferrari every now and then, not because the car is on their level, but because Max is unbelievably fast.
