  1. Yeah fair, an exaggeration from me but I can't think of a legit reason of how a VAR official sees that and goes 'no penalty'.
  2. Yeah, it's so ambiguous to begin with that referees are pretty much on the back foot anyway. Some of the rules even before VAR came in were muddy enough. The handball rule for instance was such a grey area. It still is.
  3. This reminds me of the fixtures we had at home in last season's run-in. Everton, Wolves, Bournemouth. All 3 around us in the relegation battle at the time. 'winnable' games but we ended up faltering. Games we should have put away (at least more than one of them, anyway). Only beat Wolves. It's at this time of season where you literally do or take anything to win. Can be the shittest performances all round but points matter more than performances. What perhaps makes it a bit more interesting this season is there seems to be key battles in all 3 main areas of the table, meaning there's more at stake towards end of the season instead of lots of dead rubbers. A proper title race, and several clubs competing for top 6.

  6. 100% a penalty. Fair enough if a ref misses it because their one angle could/may be obscured by other players. But VAR officials shouldn't be missing it. They get the benefit of all other angles. There's even contact high on the leg after the initial chest/torso contact. No doubt PGMOL/Howard Webb on that Sky programme will try and defend it though. There's literally no reason to not give a penalty (barring $$$$)
  7. Bold = home fixture Italics - away fixture Underlined - relegation rival fixture That's the state of play at the moment. Crystal Palace have some very difficult fixtures to come - by far the highest average of opponent ranking given they still play Man City, Liverpool, West Ham, Man Utd & Aston Villa within their final 7. If Burnley had more about them, their final game against Forest might have actually meant something. Everton playing 4 of their relegation rivals in a row (re-arranged games in hand still to be decided) could be pivotal before playing Arsenal on the final day.

  10. 6. Maximum points Bayern can get is 84. Leverkusen currently on 67.
  11. It's high enough regardless. That's a penalty almost every other time that challenge happens.
  12. Just seen final fixtures. Wolves have a big say in the title race - they play all 3 contenders in the final 4 rounds of fixtures...
  13. Wow. That should have been a penalty. Doku and Man City extremely lucky.
  14. Salah dive. Went down in agony. Seems to be okay now in the verbals against the other players...
  15. At the time he was chatting to the ref, the physios weren't on.
  16. It's not a red and Van Dijk should leave it alone. Just delaying the spot kick.
  17. Clever corner to be fair. Liverpool have created lots. One of them is bound to go in.
