  1. Amsterdam It's loosely based on actual events. After the 1st World War there was an attempt by some powerful businessmen to overthrow the government and turn the US into a fascist state. The movie stars half of Hollywood. There is Christian Bale, Robert De Niro, Rami Malek, Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Chris Rock, Margot Robbie, Andrea Risenborough, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana and many more. I don't think I can take another movie in which Christian Bale talks weird. We all know you are a great actor but have you considered talking like a normal human being. It's supposed to be a comedy of sorts but I remember laughing just once. The writing is not very good. Really ordinary movie. 5/10 The Last Stop in Yuma County Set in the 80's a bunch of travellers are stuck at a diner after the adjoining gas station runs out of fuel. Among them are a duo who robbed a bank and took off with 700K. It's a low budget movie starring Jim Cummings. It's well made. Well acted. Definitely worth a watch if you like indie movies. 6.5/10
  2. I think even 30 mins is enough to figure out that United are not going to win the league.
  3. If they hadn't found Yamal, Adama Traore would probably still be in the Spanish squad. Absolutely pointless player. Run...give away ball....repeat. Run...pass to opposition player....repeat. Run....wild shot....repeat
  4. Boy Kills World When his family is purged during an event called The Culling in a fictional dystopian City, boy Bill Skarsgard is taken in by a shaman who trains him to seek revenge. Skarsgard is both deaf and mute and so his thoughts are voiced over in some video game sound that he last played before his entire family was killed. It's not that bad but its not very good either. 6/10
  5. Tried watching the 2nd season of The Bear but just could not. The character playing Sydney is just so annoying. It's like watching a grown woman act and talk like a 9 year old. Horrendous acting. Jeremy Allen White is no acting genius either. The dialogues are so pathetically written. I honestly have no idea how people can sit through it. Just amateurish garbage.
  6. Godzilla Minus One I don't know why they call it that. It looked like the actual title of the movie was Godzilla-1.0 I really liked the movie. It's very well done at a small budget. It's not the smartest Godzilla storyline around but for some reason I really loved it. I really liked it. No idea why. 7.5/10
  7. Presumed Innocent Presumed Innocent is an 8 part mini-series starring Jake Gyllenhaal. A public prosecutor is found murdered in her home and the series deals with the investigation and trial that follows. I was not aware that there has already been a movie made on the same novel though they have changed the ending in this one apparently. I am really not convinced with seeing Jake Gyllenhaal as the father of two teens. He is a great actor and he could have done this role in his sleep. There are some fantastic actors in the cast. Peter Sarsgaard is brilliant. The lady who plays Gyllenhaal's wife is brilliant. There is a guy who plays Nico Della Guardia who is fantastic. The series is decent. 7/10
  8. Under the Bridge Under the Bridge is a mini series based on the murder of a Canadian girl of Indian origin, Reena Virk in British Colombia in 1997. Based on actual events. When Reena Virk's body is found in a river, her friends from a nearby foster home emerge as the prime suspects. Stars the lady from Killers of the flower moon and Riley Keough who is Elvis' granddaughter if i am not wrong. It's well made but it's about 2-3 episodes too long at 8 episodes. There is a definite lag in the middle episodes where they focus on the Jehovah's Witness faith of the Virk family but it picks up again after that. Definitely worth a watch. 7.5/10
  9. The Roundup 4: Punishment(Korean) This is the 4th movie in the Roundup movie series starring Don Lee. Don Lee is a big guy and probably not very agile so the action scenes are short and sweet. When he hits them they stay hit. I absolutely love the Roundup series. Having said that this is probably the weakest movie in the series. Detective Don Lee and his colleagues chase after some cyber criminals in this one. The Roundup series is quite popular which is why they keep making them. Personally I rate The Roundup(2022) to be the best in the series followed by The Roundup: No Way Out(2023). The Outlaws(2017) and this one would be 3 & 4. If you like Korean cinema then these are fun movies to watch. 6.5/10
  10. After the first round of matches I had done a predictor thing and it turned out that Spain would win. Probably the easiest predictor in a while.
  11. This one will be difficult to call if it goes to penalties. I think England would beat the other 23 teams on penalties.
  12. Shaw has had a great game. Been better than both Yamal and Williams.
  13. The longer it goes on scoreless the more likely England are to win.
  14. There was this female commentator during the group stages. I don't know who it was but she was not very bright. She would try to copy those Arab commentators and their over exuberance. Then they made it just the one commentator and got rid of the lady. The studio would have received too many complaints. Now it's back to 2 guys. Not that I have anything against a female commentator but a tournament of this importance should not be the place to try out an amateur commentator.
  15. Yamal looks like he had one too many cake slices yesterday.
  16. For the umpteenth time I say, Morata is shite. I just read today that he is the nephew of Pat Morata who played Mr. Miyagi in the original Karate Kid.
  17. I hear that PSG have offered Napoli 200 mil for Osimhen and Khvaratskhelia. So I guess they have given up on Yamal.
  18. I remember during the 2004 Euro that Greece won our local cable operator had a dispute with Rupert Murdoch's network that used to air the Euro. So at 2:30 in the morning I and a few friends would drive down to another part of town to watch the matches. 20 years later I am the only one who is still crazy about football. The others would have slept off by now.
  19. It will be a huge embarrassment for Spain if a team that couldn't beat a rank average Italian team in a final manages to beat them.
