I agree it would be not bad, although I'm personally quite ambitious, and would like to see us gunning for the Europa.

That could change based on how we finish this season. I mean we aren't even safe yet, but I see West Brom in 8th and I don't think they're uncatchable for us at all.

Personally, I think you have no chance of that.

  2. Cunningham's gone

Legend as a player and will remain as one but he'll be remembered for all the wrong reasons as coach of the club. We need a clean break now, this jobs for the boys culture that exists at the club needs to be broken up, Sean Long and Jamal Lolesli needed to go, as did Mike Rush, a bloke originally employed to work within the Academy set-up, who's somehow CEO of the club.

  3. No Roby for the next few weeks, so he misses the game that's Wigan have stupidly dubbed "Us v Them". No doubt Lomax will smash his knee to pieces and Smith will snap a leg in the Huddersfield game and we'll end up losing by 30 to Wigan with Cunningham saying "we were close".

  4. Bad night for Southend, losing to Bolton and Tranmere xD

Had highlighted a few games for an Over 1.5 Goals treble that I completely forgot to put on. Of the five games I looked at 4 won, the one that didn't was the one I rated as 5th choice anyway so I wouldn't have included it anyway.

We're a club that likes to think "outside of the box", you pump in a load of money into an academy system to have your best players snatched away. We have the ability to sign quality reserve players in one team and offer them a pathway to first team football.

Theyre actually looking into this in Scotland after someone from the club carried out a presentation on it as there are too many academies there.

So effectively, instead of being the little club that has had their players taken from them for less than the club values them for, you've become one of the teams to take other team's players for (presumably) less than their respective club's value them for. Morally that may not be right but I'll give you, it's outside of the box and clever if not totally the morally right way to do things.

  6. Bet inplay for Over 0.5 Goals in the 1st half of the Bayern Munich II game earlier at 5/6. I should have waited a few minutes for bigger odds but £5 returned £9.16.

    Steady start to the weekend.

  7. The way they handled that and how the French welcomed Ben Barba with open arms after being banned by Rugby League for taking cocaine capped a wonderful winter for Rugby Union and it's lack of moral compass.

  8. The Auckland born, Samoa RL international Denny Solomona signs up for the Rest of the World kick and clap side, sorry I meant England side.

Some game RU. Ashamed by absolutely nothing.

  9. What is it that makes Australians absolutely mental? Is it the coverage that the game gets because of the popularity so these blokes are under the microscope more than blokes over here?

Anyway, two wins from two and the garden is looking slightly rosier for Kieron "Rugby League is a game of chicken" Cunningham and Saints. I'm not convinced this is all Matty Smith's doing either but having a proper half in the side instead of Theo Fages, who's form is erratic at the best of times, and a kid in Danny Richardson, is always going to improve the side.

Been over to Championship One (third division) London Skolars a few times this year, they're really doing well on (apart from the humping Toronto gave them) and off the pitch.

  11. Started to save for a mortgage, I think I'll need to rob a bank to find anything close to home in Essex but also close enough to get on the Underground for work in London, as the National Rail prices are a bigger joke than their service.

Dont want to rent, I'm better of saving that money and putting it towards the mortgage fund.

  12. Waiting on a goal at Portsmouth v Newport (currently 1-0 at HT) to win £11.02 from £5 treble of Over 1.5 Goals. Blackpool v Hartlepool and Alloa Athletic v Queens Park have already come in.

  13. The Non-League Thread will be sponsored by Francesco Becchetti in 2017/18.

If Becchetti is still at the club, I won't be buying a season ticket, I and many others have already stopped spending any money at the club on matchdays, and others won't be buying a season ticket from what people have said. I'll attend a few away games next season and will try to follow the Orient Youth Team when they're at home. Otherwise, I'll probably pick and choose a few games of non-league football at various levels when I fancy watching a game.
