Sad to hear that mate, I presume you've been watching more of Koln then?

I've only seen one game live all season, the Arsenal v Köln game. I've watched a few Köln games online but not regular.

I'm actually not missing Orient tbh, I thought I'd have been going semi-regular when I decided not to bother with a season ticket but I've just not been able to go and the times I have been, I just couldn't be bothered.

I'm just picking games a couple of times a month now. September was busy but in October im off to Villa Park for the first time for the Villa v Fulham game and I might do QPR v Wolves at the back end of the month.

  2. Haven't watched an Orient game live or on the box all season so I have no proper clue of what's going on but by all accounts, Steve Davis is plumping for negative tactics and injuries have caused havoc in the back four.

Given the fact Davis had three weeks to the season start when he arrived plus he walked into a club with a handful of players who were either 17-19 years-old and struggling from the previous season and a load of players signed by the DoF, without Davis' consent, the job was always going to be incredibly difficult and a struggle this season.

Dagenham v Orient worth a watch. Will they put one or two ties on BT or anything this early?

I know BBC have been streaming a game every round. I'm not sure whether a game will be picked for BT because it's still the qualifiers but I imagine BBC will plump for South Shields v Hartlepool due to Hartlepool being a league club last year, Hartlepool lost to Blyth (I think) the other year, it's a local Derby and Julio Arca plays for South Shields.

I've not been all season but by all accounts Orient are crap and can expect a defeat at Dagenham.

  4. The FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Draw was made at 1pm today.

Arguably the tie of the round is South Shields vs Hartlepool United. I expect that one to be streamed on BBC.

As for other ties, there's a few other local derbies out there. Dagenham v Orient, Boreham Wood v St Albans City and potentially East Thurrock United v Ebbsfleet United if ETU can beat Harlow Town in a replay on Tuesday.

Glenn Tamplin's Billericay Town have Brackley Town away should they dispose of Hungerford Town in a replay and Sutton United, now minus Wayne Shaw, travel to Paulton Rovers.

As planned, my lower league/non league tour of the North West will continue from next week. I'm thinking of going to either Salford City against Leamington or Southport against Spennymoor. One thing though and hopefully some of you can help me out is how do you go about getting tickets for non-league fixtures? I got my tickets for Blackpool and Morecambe over the internet as normal but can't see anywhere to do this for the likes of Salford and Southport. Are they all pay-on-the-day?

    @Smiley Culture / @roversgirl

I'd imagine that most games are pay-on-the-day unless it's like a big game (I imagine Salford v FC United, for example). I think there might be a slightly bigger crowd at Salford than normal because it's "Non-League Day" next weekend but that shouldn't effect you getting a ticket.

  6. Storm have been sensational. They're a superhuman team with three of the best players of all time in their ranks in Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith.

Cowboys have been phenomenal to get to the Final but this is one game too far. They looked shot out there today.

agree with this. All well and good they catch these pricks but the motive seems to be skewed - as if they're doing it for their own benefit as opposed to actually getting a pedo off the streets.

Apparently police don't like that they try to take the law in to their own hands as well and it can affect their ongoing investigations too in some cases.

These "hunters" could potentially jeopardise wider investigations into these people and I can see why the police might get the hump.

  8. I can sympathise with him a bit here because I've seen the devastation a glass bottle can cause.

It's not something I've posted about before because I try and keep things private on here but also because I'm not really looking for attention or sympathy and because it sounds a bit bullshitty, though I can assure you it's not.

In June, a 71 year-old relative was smashed over the head with a bottle in a bar for allegedly bumping into someone at the bar (he didn't and CCTV has proven it). The bouncer of the bar threw the 48 year-old out and upon trying to apprehend him, the 48 year-old still had the neck of the bottle in his hand and he stabbed a 39 year-old relative with it, what I thought at the time was his neck. I've genuinely never seen as much blood as that and I honestly thought we were going to lose him and it turns out that we weren't far from it, the police were panicking and urging the ambulance to hurry up at one point.

Attacking people with a weapon, or even threatening to, is awful and I can totally understand the anger it would cause and I'm quite glad the lad(s) got a bit of a pasting whilst also being disarmed.

In this Stokes' case, I don't know how much he can get away with as 'defending himself' because once the attacker has become unarmed and the weapon is at a "safe" (that's a subjective term) distance away from everyone, I'm not sure how much he'll be able to use as a defence.

  9. Seems to be a lot of those 'Paedophile Hunters' catching people near where I live and exposing them on social media. They caught a bloke who owns a clothes shop yesterday and surprise, surprise the shop was covered in graffiti and eggs and flour this morning.

I don't get them Paedophile Hunters. Alright, they do a good job catching people who would have otherwise gone undetected but I find them a bit "look at me, give us praise" when they expose people on social media, is there actually any need? They could quite easily collate all the evidence and just hand it to police rather than going looking for likes on social media.

It's the second place out of our group so with a bit of luck England, against the first place in Group C which will probably be PNG.

Yeah, I'd be hugely surprised to see anyone but England finish 2nd. That either means they beat Australia in their own back yard or flop against the French or Lebanese, which would almost certainly see Wayne Bennett sacked.

Group C is a funny one. Wales did excellently in 2013 but I don't know if they'll replicate that, a shed load of Australians are going to declare themselves Irish anytime now and PNG should be strong, especially on their own patch.

It's a chicken and egg scenario like most of football. There is literally no possible way Qarabag could ever compete with Chelsea as a club no matter what they did. It's geared that way.

I think that is why I now prefer the Europa League Group Stages, it's not as cut and dry overall as the Champions League Group Stages.

Manchester United lost twice in last season's Group Stages, Dundalk beat Maccabi Tel-Aviv and only lost 2-1 to Zenit, Roma drew three games, Genk topped their group, Sassuolo finished bottom, Fiorentina lost to PAOK and Southampton and Internazionale failed to qualify from their group.

I think as well you get a more diverse selection of sides than the Champions League, where the same sides seem to qualify year in, year out.

  12. Doesn't really sound like a bomb, based on the fact that the bucket and the bag haven't exploded into pieces and the arrival of the Hazardous Area Teams, which doesn't seem normal for a bomb incident.

Whatever it is, it's a massive shame and really hits home that it can happen at any time, especially as someone who commutes via the Tube on a daily basis.

Fingers crossed the people who have suffered from this are getting the best medical help and recover from their injuries.
