I didn't want to see him in a Werder shirt again before all of this. Imagine being an at best mediocre player and thinking you can pull this.

It has been crazy just how much the big name players of the squad lost value over the last year or two. Yes some of it is covid of course, but the poor performance of the players to what they once were is massive. From some of what I have seen, between Eggestein and Rashica we lost around 20 to 30 million in value in the matter of a year or two. I am curious how much of that was down to the players themselves and how much was the coaching.

He did create the problem by signing terrible players for too much money and not having quality players to sell. I really worry if we on counting on Füllkrug to be our striker this year.

It is Baumann so I expect him to fail massively at this.

Getting excited again for the season, like the new coach, hoping for the best from Frank, and looking forward to some great northern derbies. Only thing that sucks is the games will be tough to see here in Canada from a viewing and time perspective. Onward and upward.

Glad to see it finally happen, the club deserves no credit for any of this and Baumann has disgraced himself. The entire season has been such a disaster, and if we are relegated having played the most boring style of any team in the bundesliga it will really be a cherry on top. Hopefully with Schaaf at the helm they give it a proper go in the final game.

Is there any way to get rid of Kohfeldt before the next game or are we just stuck with him? If we can get rid of him, is there anyone people would recommend for the last game to be caretaker?

This club feels so rudderless under Baumann and Bode. I don't understand why Werder keep them around. The squad doesn't even have anyone of enough value to build around. Feels like even if they escape relegation this year, they will continue to flirt with it until it inevitably comes.

Is it worth it to sack Kohfeldt and hope for a bounce for the last 3 games?

Thankfully Baumann has come out and said that Milot is likely staying. Apparently Hertha just wanted to loan him with no guarantee to buy. Why would they think that would be acceptable?

The game Saturday against Mainz, although I don't think its must win, it definitely feels like a must not lose. Need to keep the gap to the relegation spots.

We don't need strikers, especially ones that score hat tricks.

Great to see Jojo score against Tottenham even if Hart probably should have stopped it. Is there any clause to bring him back in January? Would either party be interested?

Rashica is now out to the end of January which is a huge blow both on the field and off. Hard to imagine we will be able to sell him for anything near his value now.

I kind of look forward to this. Sargent as the only striker I mean. I think everyone seems to be waiting for him to be a true, main striker. This is the first time and a chance to see what he can really do. Kind of a shit or get off the pot situation.
