ScoRoss Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Plan is to start their season in October. Expect League 1 and 2 to follow with an even shorter season proposal. Main justification is the clubs who would not be able to cope without crowds and relying on television money (which is almost nothing).
ScoRoss Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 Current proposal, to be voted on in the near future, is promotion for the top two in each league (and promotion of the top team from both the Highland and Lowland League), without any teams being relegated. However, one of the contentious points is that this is only a temporary measure. Aberdeen have already spoken out and said they wouldn't vote in favour of any temporary plans and anything that happens would have to be a permanent change.
ScoRoss Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 Only 16 clubs voted for reconstruction and so the current league structure remains, whilst Hearts, Patrick Thistle and Stranraer are relegated. And it's fair to say, they aren't happy...
ScoRoss Posted July 3, 2020 Author Posted July 3, 2020 League 1 & 2 vote in favour of a, shortened, 27 game season starting in Mid October.
Administrator Stan Posted August 14, 2020 Administrator Posted August 14, 2020 So because of players of Celtic & Aberdeen, they had their games postponed. Fair enough. But then other clubs in lower divisions have been told to stop training until 24th August. One of those clubs is of course Hearts. But Hull are currently in Edinburgh and allowed to train there And other matches in SPL are still going ahead this weekend...

Aberdeen's game midweek against Hamilton was on until Bolingoli was found to have been in Spain. Then it got called off... Still not exactly sure why... Meanwhile Kilmarnock, who Bolingoli actually played against, had their game go ahead. Inconsistency has been on going throughout this. We're a million miles from Hearts being allowed to have games on. If players are supposed to be in a 'bubble' as people are crying out they should be, are players from the lower leagues not meant to go to work as well?
