Carnivore Chris
Pedri, Barcelona's best player this season. For as frustrating as it's going to be this season, the positive is the amount of young players being given a chance this season and they are taking those chances. There is a genuine bright future there. Ter Stegen and de Jong are also among the best in the world in their positions so there are players to build around. The main problem for me are the likes of Griezmann and Braithwaite, they are massively average footballers. Let's say Barcelona had Neymar and Haaland yesterday(just throwing 2 names out as examples), that games 6-1 and you'd also be seeing a much better Messi. Messi's understanding with Pedri and de Jong is spot on, his understanding with Griezmann and Braithwaite, on the other-hand, is non-existent. They aren't at the level required. Then Dembele will never stay fit so it's a waste of time having faith in him anymore. Araujo in defence is also another positive as far as young players go. Eric García would also be a spot on signing from City and would fit in.
