Administrator Stan Posted March 29, 2021 Administrator Share Posted March 29, 2021 1 - Norwich most likely finish top - been by far the most superior club in the Championship this season 2 - Watford most likely to follow them as Swansea have faltered a bit recently. 3-6th - Swansea & Brentford pretty much certified to occupy 2 play-off spots. The others are anyone's guess. Barnsley the surprise package and while it may be perceived they're not ready for PL, what a story it would be if they did get promoted. Would certainly be refreshing to see a club back in the PL that hasn't been there for ages (1998!!). Dave
Whilst we can all hope it seems like the top two are a formality. Imagine Barnsley back in The Premiership though. Brilliant.
Bluebird Hewitt
I think there's a slim chance for us, so long as our players can stay fit (hopefully we could see a couple returning for the Easter fixture). Hoping Moore's goal against Mexico will give him a bit of confidence as well. Had a slight barren run recently and looked a little low on confidence in front of goal. Dave
A 1-0 win against Sheffield Wedneaday thanks to an own goal symbolises everything on why I do not wish to see Watford in the Premier League again. All season there fans have been gloating about the strength of the squad, and how it is all going to click, and how somebody is going to be the end of a hiding. Yet all season we have just been subjected to dour performances like that which will still get them over the line.
Administrator Stan Posted April 7, 2021 Author Administrator Share Posted April 7, 2021 Think anyone below Bournemouth are probably out of the race and have too much to do. Cardiff in 8th are 8 points behind 6th placed Reading... Norwich only need 4 more points to secure promotion as Brentford's maximum points haul can only be 91. Brentford and Swansea are choking massively. That recent form is terrible for the standard of squad and team they have; lucky they had enough points on the board already to be in the mix. At the turn of the year if anyone told you Barnsley would only be a point behind Swansea in the final month of the season you'd be foolish not to ask them what they're smoking. Bournemouth seem to be picking up form just at the right time... Dave
Watford's fixture run is pretty shitty which gives us some hope.
Bluebird Hewitt
Yeah, we've fucked it now. It was a good attempt but our recent form has been poor and there's not enough games left now.
