A good win at home here in Kharkiv will no doubt boost morale before they fly off to Amsterdam. Ukraine have already had a dangerous chance in the opening minutes as Zinchenko crossed for Yaremchuk and his shot was saved well by the Cypriot keeper Panagi.

The excellent Zubkov broke free, beat the last Cypriot defender Panayiotou and was running in on goal, only for Panayioutou to then bring him down from behind. Panayioutou got the red card shown and was sent off. Yarmolenko subsequently stepped up to take the penalty and he struck the ball with his left foot sending the keeper the wrong way, to score and give Ukraine the lead. Ukraine 1-0 Cyprus

This time Zinchenko stood up to take the penalty and Zinchenko went for power as his left footed shot found the corner of the net to extend Ukraine's lead. Ukraine 2-0 Cyprus

The ball was cleverly laid off to him from just outside the area and his first time strike went narrowly over the bar. At half-time it's Ukraine 2-0 Cyprus. Ukraine will be pleased with their dominant first half performance.

Some clever passing started the move towards that goal as it culminated in Marlos crossing for Yaremchuk and the latter duly scored. Ukraine 3-0 Cyprus
