Our city beat out stiff competition in the Time Out survey We ranked higher than New York City, Tokyo and LA, and well above the next UK city, which was London in 13th place. Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2021 dates, programme and everything you need to know Manchester ranked top in the poll for nightlife, community spirit, friendliness and others. Time Out praised Manchester for its resilience, its pride and its creativity, as well as for its community efforts during the pandemic. Ramsbottom's Eagle and Child pub earned a mention for giving away 4,500 meals to vulnerable locals. The listing of the world's best cities also mentioned The Factory arts centre and Manchester International Festival. "Mancunians are a very proud people, and so it’s no wonder 71 percent described the city as ‘creative’ in this year’s Index. "This is the home of Factory Records, the Fall and the Smiths, and Manchester City football club after all, and in 2021 the likes of Manchester International Festival (MIF) and Grayson’s Art Club have continued to show this city really punches when it comes to big, splashy cultural events. "On a more local level, small firms like Result CIC offered free mental health support to frontline workers, while the Eagle and Child pub gave away 4,500 meals to vulnerable locals." Azeem Posted September 9, 2021 Share Posted September 9, 2021 I always wanted to try build real life cities in city simulation games but I simply suck at it.
