UPS and DOWNS

CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Barnsley will be relegated if they lose on Friday vs Huddersfield. If they win, they need to hope Reading don't win to take it to the next game
  • Peterborough have to win and hope Reading don't win to have a chance of survival. If Reading win, Peterborough's result would not matter.

LEAGUE ONE

  • Wigan will seal promotion if they win against Plymouth

  • Doncaster will be relegated if Gillingham win, regardless of their own result.
  • AFC Wimbledon will be relegated if Gillingham match their result and Morecambe pick up a point

LEAGUE TWO

  • Forest Green will seal promotion if they draw and Northampton don't win
  • Exeter can be promoted if they win and both Northampton & Bristol Rovers don't win

  • Oldham will be in the National League if they lose and Stevenage & Barrow both pick up 1 win in any of their 2 games this round.

Bournemouth pulled it back from 3-0 down for 3-3 in stoppage time.

Swansea fans must hate being in a convincing lead. First the 4-4 with Reading and now this.

Nottingham Forest have to win next week now.

Exeter promoted to League One. Happy for them considering the amount of times they'd been in playoffs recently and failed.

League One top 7 looks tight! Wigan spurned a 2-0 lead at Portsmouth and lost. Means MK Dons in 3rd still have a chance to win the league.

4-7th only separated by two points! Gonna be plenty of twists and turns for the final day on Saturday.

It got to a stage with Exeter where I just assumed it was never going to happen. Really hope they make a good go of it. If AFC Wimbledon can stay in League One for five seasons given how bad they've been for the last three then anythings possible.

Looking at the fixtures I can't see MK Dons doing it. It looks like it would be Wigan as Champions and Rotherham in second. Over the course of the season that would probably be the mosy fair outcome anyway.

I'm naively rooting Plymouth for the playoffs. They're a very well ran club these days and I feel a bit sorry for any club punching above their traditional comfort zone that gets there manager poached. Given how well they seemingly recruit I'd fancy them to have a similar season to what Blackpool have just had if they can go up via the playoffs and really build on what they've started.
