Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 18, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted September 18, 2022 Hopefully we can keep the pressure off our goal today otherwise Pickford will be a big miss. The outfield ten are close to full strength barring Calvert-Lewin's absence.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 18, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted September 18, 2022 All good until the final third where sloppy touches and passing is letting us down. Similar affliction for West Ham. On track for a 0-0 or 1-0 if one team can fashion a moment of quality.
Administrator Stan Posted September 18, 2022 Author Administrator Share Posted September 18, 2022 Even game but Everton just about shading the first half. That said, it's not a pretty watch. Scrappy a times. Gray looks lively. Maupay not really doing much.
Administrator Stan Posted September 18, 2022 Author Administrator Share Posted September 18, 2022 GOAL EVERTON!!! 1-0! Maupay picks up on the ball and his quick-thinking strike beats Fabianski! EDIT: done him a disservice there, that first touch to turn and tee it up for himself is superb.

Administrator Stan Posted September 18, 2022 Author Administrator Share Posted September 18, 2022 The central players for Everton - Coady, Tarkowski, Onana & Gueye - have pretty much bossed it. As I say that, Benrahma hits the post...!
Administrator Stan Posted September 18, 2022 Author Administrator Share Posted September 18, 2022 West Ham's attack very toothless. Scamacca, Antonio, Paqueta, Fornals, Benrahma, Bowen. Moyes struggling to get a tune out of all of them. Credit to Everton's defence though. Held firm all game and made it difficult for them. I long for a defence that can hold a clean sheet . Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted September 18, 2022 Subscriber Share Posted September 18, 2022 Never put it in writing but I did feel oddly confident heading into this one. Nervy end to the game but that's what you get with Everton. Hopefully with that monkey off our back we can play with a bit less fear. Fair do's to Lampard. We have work to do in attack but he said his priority was to make us hard to beat first and build from there. Seems to be on track.
