Dave
Aaronson expected to leave Leeds amid relegation release clause Brenden Aaronson has a relegation release clause in his Leeds contract and is expected to leave the club this summer, according to The Athletic. Leeds’ relegation was confirmed on the final day of the Premier League season with a 4-1 loss to Tottenham. They finished 19th in the table with 31 points and will spend the 2023-24 season in the Championship. The relegation release clause means Aaronson has a much more likely route to departing the club this summer, with interested clubs needing only to trigger the clause to open contract talks. Sources are expecting the clause to be triggered this summer.
Lucas
He had no impact whatsoever. Really let down by him. Far too lightweight on the ball and end product was absolute naff. Such a shame because there were parts of his play that looked decent but his confidence just hit rock bottom. He will go for sure but in all honesty, he is one who should be asking himself if he really did enough this season and in total honesty, a season in the Championship would do him the world of good. He needs to be a lot more physical to play Premier League.
