Dave Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Luton are pushing to sign Cody Drameh on a permanent deal. The defender spent the second half of the season on loan at Luton, helping them to promotion to the Premier League for the first time. Drameh is entering the last year of his contract with Leeds and is thought to be keen to make the step up to the Premier League, rather than remain with his parent club, who have been relegated back to the Championship.
Administrator Stan Posted May 29, 2023 Administrator Posted May 29, 2023 Luton are probably favoured here with not only their promotion, but Leeds going down too. Not a bad thing to make it permanent if he's comfortable with it too.
Lucas Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 I wouldn't want to lose him but unfortunately I don't think we're in a position of power here. He's not going to want to turn down the Premier League and I don't think he'll feel like he owes us anything anyway. It will hurt losing a player of his talent that could be massively influential to us next season but sadly, here we are. Is he ready for the PL? Debateable but he's looked influential both times he's come down to the Championship so perhaps his time is now.
