It was a clear statement that Thomas Tuchel made with his personnel decision in the dramatic Bundesliga final: Leon Goretzka initially had to make do with a bench seat, while Ryan Gravenberch was allowed to whirl around in midfield from the start. But things got even worse for the 50-time national player: Just 14 minutes after his substitution in the 71st minute of the game, Tuchel ordered his protégé back to the Bayern bench.

Goretzka was given the so-called "maximum penalty" and had to give way to 18-year-old Mathys Tel. Afterwards, Tuchel apologized to the 28-year-old, but the substitution symbolizes the national player's unfortunate second half of the season. After the World Cup break, Goretzka did not want to do much in Bayern dress, which is why criticism of the midfielder grew and the first rumors of departure made the rounds. Sky expert Didi Hamann even described the FCB star as "the biggest disappointment of the season".

According to information, the national player should receive a lot of support from Karl-Heinz-Rummenigge in particular, despite the weak second half of the season, and Gravenberch, who is a "clear man of the transfer team that ruled before", is also a candidate for departure. Nevertheless, a change cannot be ruled out, also because some top teams have already put out feelers to the German

Its going to be interesting to see what happens here. Whether it ends up being Rice or someone else if we truely are looking for a 6 and shifting Kimmich more towards being an 8 we have a glutton of players and somethings going to give. Goretzka had a terrible year but I am hopeful he could bounce back, its just a game of numbers. With Laimer coming in and Sabitzer returning from loan we have to sell at least 2 players, likely between Goretzka, Gravenberch and Sabitzer.
