Sikan was the hero for Shakhtar, as he scored 2 poachers goals to help Shakhtar win, while Rakitsky scored Shakhtar's other goal from a free-kick. Despite having sold loads of players, due to the war in Ukraine, Shakhtar remain a force to be reckoned with. They've almost always started with 11 Ukrainian players in their team in recent years. Furthermore, even though they most recently lost their star keeper Trubin to Benfica, they managed to replace him with arguably the 4th best Ukrainian keeper in Dmytro Riznyk. Whether Shakhtar manage qualify from their group or not, their young team, made up almost entirely of Ukrainian players, will continue to gather vital experience.
