Valencia's Yaremchuk has a shot on the turn and forces Barcelona keeper Sotorres into a great save right at the start of this match. That was a big chance for Valencia and a brilliant start from the hosts, showing their intent to take the match to the Catalan giants.

It's 0-0 at half-time, but Lewandowski had several half chances at goal, 5 efforts to be precise. Two of his most dangerous efforts forced Valencia's keeper Mamardashvili into important saves. His first such effort was a powerful shot from long range, that the Georgian keeper had to block. The 2nd attempt that called the Georgian keeper into action, was a venomous acrobatic volley from Lewandowski, that the keeper had to block at his near post. Barcelona had the better of the first half in terms of chances created, but lets see if either side can break the dead-lock in the 2nd half.

Valencia hold Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at full-time. Barcelona are now in 3rd place in the La Liga table, 4 points behind 2nd placed Real Madrid and 6 points behind 1st placed Girona. Both Real Madrid and Girona also have a game in hand over Barcelona. Atletico Madrid are also breathing down Barcelona's necks, just a point behind the Catalans in 4th place in the table. The title race looks to be a tough one this season.
