Have chosen Burke, it's not that hard to be the best Scottish player in Germany, though. Barry Hepburn eg played 4 of 34 German fourth tier matches until he were loaned to a Scottish 2nd tier and an Austrian 2nd tier club, where he apparently was no regular starter neither. :congrats: For comparison a German 3rd tier club (us) have recruted 3 players from Austrian Bundesliga, one of them, a goalkeeper, was even a regular starter.😆

Barry Hepburn is the youngest of Scottish footballers contracted to German clubs. It looks like he's not been given his break yet at club level. He spent the 1st half of last season on loan in the Scottish 2nd tier and the 2nd half of the season on loan in the Austrian 2nd tier. I think he needs to spend a full season at 1 club where he can settle properly. But he has played for the Scottish national team at varying youth levels. He still has plenty of time to establish himself as he is at the very start of his career.

Burke's problem is that he is not consistent enough and he doesn't always work hard enough for the team. But in terms of natural talent, he is really gifted. He's scored vital goals against clubs like Dortmund and Stuttgart while at Werder Bremen, while he also scored the winning goal for Sheffield United against Manchester United when he played in the Premier League. He was the captain of the Scottish Under 21 team at one point during his career, but his career has not turned out to be as successful as many people in Scotland expected. At 27 years old though, he still has a long footballing career still left. He has played 13 internationals for the Scotland national team and he has 1 goal for them.

Fraser Hornby has actually played alongside Burke for the Scotland Under 21 national team. Both were key players in Scotland's 2018 Toulon Tournament team and both players scored in that competition. At 24 years old, Hornby is still a relatively young player, but his career so far has been blighted by injuries. Similar to Burke, Hornby has played in one of the top 5 European leagues, as he played for Reims in the French League for several years, as well as the Bundesliga. But he found most success in the Belgian top division, as he scored many important goals while on loan at Oostende. Hornby really needs to stay away from injuries. If he can go a season without getting a serious injury, we could see the best season yet from the centre-forward.

Scott Banks for me though is Scotland's best player in Germany. At only 22 years of age, he has shown some real flashes of brilliance. His season on loan from Crystal Palace to Bradford City was a very successful season for him. However, he was unfortunate last season, as he got a season ending injury while on loan at St. Pauli, which made him miss most of the season. However he returned to play for St. Pauli on the last day of last season and he assisted the goal that clinched promotion for St. Pauli. Scott Banks seems to have so much potential and I think that he is currently probably the best Scottish player in Germany.
