Dave
@Lucas Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford faces four months out after suffering a posterior cruciate ligament injury. Bamford, who joined Leeds from Middlesbrough for £7m during the summer, injured his knee during Friday's U23 game against Bristol City at Elland Road. Club director of football Victor Orta said: "This is clearly disappointing news for Patrick and for everyone at Leeds United. "Patrick has settled in well, quickly becoming an important player for Marcelo Bielsa and a popular part of the group. "We have an excellent medical team at the club and Patrick is in the best possible hands, he will be back available to us during an important part of the season and he will still play a key role in our campaign."[/quotqe]
Administrator Stan Posted September 16, 2018 Administrator Share Posted September 16, 2018 bit shit for Leeds, that. Out for 4 months but one of those injuries that could keep recurring or cause damage later on as well. Not to mention they only just bought him as well. The bright side is that it gives other players to shine. I think some youngsters have come in to the team recently as well due to injuries @Lucas? It's pretty huge for us because in the same week, we've lost Kemar Roofe for three to four weeks. Bamford was waiting for his chance and it would have come at Millwall but to lose him for 4 months when he's hardly played is frustrating. Yesterday we had to play a youngster in Tyler Roberts who missed three chances and was subbed off, so it's clear we are missing someone more established. We only have kids to choose from up front now and it will be a big ask.

Didn't know Roofe was out for that long so that's one of my transfers in the fantasy football sorted.
