Yep read this today as well; I remember posting about her last year and was wondering what would happen to her....

Found the post - the video in it is worth watching.

:x Wow, what a talented girl. To think that someone her age races open wheel cars is already jaw dropping, but she also holds a FIA Formula 4 lap record at Okayama, and that's at 12 years old!!! Unbelievable.

Yup, Sophia is already there. She visited the corner where the accident happened last year earlier today. Saw it on her Instagram story.

You might enjoy this big interview released today :)

Really looking forward to it; easily one of my favourite racing events of the season. So many talented drivers this year too.

All sessions will be live streamed here: https://www.fia.com/macau-grand-prix-live-stream

This is ridiculous; he had a crash that left him with a broken vertebra through no fault of his own and now his career is also in danger as he's got to cover the costs of his car wrecked in the crash. Hope he manages to get the funds needed to continue.

Yeah that's a bad joke. FIA installed that stupid sausage kerb there that made his car go flying; he should have been compensated if anything...

Results of Q1 at Macau:

Wra8rtF.png

A lot of incidents (4 red flags & numerous yellow flags) meant that most of the drivers failed to get a clean lap and set a competitive time. Hopefully the next qualifying tomorrow will be better as the track picks up more rubber. Tsunoda crashed twice :(

Love how fast these new cars are... they look and sound fantastic on a tight street circuit like that.

What a lap by Jüri Vips to take the pole for the qualifying race! New track record too. Get in... :D Unhappy for Tsunoda having a bad time so far but at least Vips is showing what he's capable off B|

Starting grid of tomorrow's quali race:

Also Ticktum crashed into Beckmann under yellow flags. Double yellows were visible and the car before him was also able to see it and slow down and pass without an issue. No penalty though as apparently the marshaling panel was still not activated. This is a great example why Max should have slowed down in the quali when Bottas crashed; but at least he got penalised.

Vips wins the qualifying race and takes the pole! :banana:Schwartzman close behind him and Lundgaard completes the top 3. David Schumacher did so well until he had to have an unscheduled stop to have some repairs on his wing and lost many positions.

Fucking hell. Vips lost out on the win here as he comfortably led the race before he got overtaken by Verschoor after the safety car and then his DRS was apparently not working so he couldn't get his position back :dam: Gutted for him; he's been great the whole weekend and it sucks to lose it like that on the final race.
Verschoor did really well though; to win as a rookie here is definitely very impressive. Hopefully that will give a boost to his career; another former Red Bull junior driver that could prove a point (as he kind of did today by beating a current Red Bull junior driver). He's only 18 too.

P1 Verschoor
P2 Vips
P3 Sargeant

Schwartzman very unlucky to be taken out in the first lap already. Liam Lawson with a great race starting from P20 and finishing at P7. Armstrong (P17 > P8) and Ticktum (P26 > P13) charging from the back of the grid made for some entertaining watching as well.

Floersch with bad luck again. Out of the race due to some mechanical/electrical failure. Habsburg out as well with a crash :(

Already looking forward to next year's race...

First in-depth interview with Juan Manuel Correa since his accident. Well worth a read...

https://f1feederseries.com/2019/11/21/juan-manuel-correa-talks-anthoine/

Good read that. Sounds like he got a good attitude, and it's logical that he talked to Billy Monger about it. A real role model when it comes to coming back from devastating injuries. The details of his injured leg reminds me of Kubica's injured arm back when all the news came out about Robert's accident.

Sette Camara wins the feature race meaning that the teams' championship goes to DAMS this season. Virtuosi second; not bad for their debut season!

Tomorrow's sprint race will be the last race of the season.

Fucking Ticktum.

One of the poorest driver on the grid + one of the most disliked driver of the grid. Interesting lineup for DAMS. Ticktum will probably do well but I doubt they'll manage to defend their title with that lineup.
