  1. They put 5 players around him and got spanked by De Bruyne & Foden and Haaland got an assist so they didn't fully stop him
  2. Hope he keep's his ego in check, he's got that Ronaldo arrogance about him ...they interviewed him after the dortmund game and the interviewer said to him dortmund did a good job on him and he replied "they didnt, i scored" then he was telling John Stones his goal was better
  3. There is no way to stop Haaland, you push up and he will run in behind, he's faster than all the CB's you sit deep and he is too fast and strong for defenders to contain, he peels off them when ever he wants, you stick a high ball in 7ft in the air and he out jumps every CB, he's a freak of nature. you put too many players on him and players like De Bruyne, Foden, Bernardo have too much space to punish teams. the only way you have any chance against him is to stop the ball getting to him, that's it but good luck stopping Kevin De Bruyne, Silva, Foden etc
  4. Stones is England's best CB by far but with his fitness record it's risky playing him 3 times a week but we don't really have many options do we. Walker can play CB too as can Phillips
  5. It's frowned upon and i don't think clubs in England have to legally honour them even if they are in the contract ..unlucky Haaland, i'm sure our 200 strong legal team could force him to stay
  6. British law does not currently allow players to buy themselves out of their contracts, therefore clubs are keen to avoid inserting them into deals. A release clause essentially allows players to be bought out of their contracts for a fixed fee
  7. I agree, It's trash on tell a good team finally wins it
  8. When a team can win it from midtable league postion its just a european carling cup, last season winners wouldnt of even been in the final if it wasnt for a flukey 3mins ..winning the top league in the world is all that matters and that makes you the best team in the world
  9. Can imagine this is how defenders feel when they come against Haaland
  10. Our bench against Palace:- Ortega, Lewis, Knight, Gomez, Esbrand, Gundogan, Palmer, Alvarez we going to need to spend mate, must have the smallest sqaud in the league right now, a few injurys and Klopp might have half a chance
  11. Man City will reportedly give Pep Guardiola £100million to go on a post-World Cup shopping spree in January after the Premier League champions made a net profit from transfers this summer Pep Guardiola has reportedly been given the green light by Manchester City to splash £100million on signings in the January transfer window. Man City are unlikely to sign any players before the current summer window closes on Thursday, despite their £104m spend being one of the lowest in recent years. They have brought in world class striker Erling Haaland, Kalvin Phillips, Sergio Gomez and Julian Alvarez in recent months. But the money recouped from outgoings amounts to a whopping £250m since January 2022, with the sale of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko raking in much of that total.
  12. We are doing better than normal because we dropped 5pts at the start of the last few season's before we get into full swing
  13. Edit* Someone put my liverpool post in the wrong thread
  14. He was clipped to be fair but he felt too guilty to take the pen
  15. Yep, I know it was a charity match but not worth the risk especially when the squad is thin to start with
  16. Finished 3-3. the kids did well against a strong Barca team, Phillips got injured so that's a bit of a blow to the bench
  17. Tonight's teams for the Charity match against Barca, KO 20.30 live on City+ TV ..seems Barca are taking it more seriously than we are
  18. Bus targeted by Manchester United fans was carrying school children from South Africa Abus driver has told of how children hid under seats as a coach carrying Manchester United fans was mistakenly attacked near Old Trafford. the vehicle was pelted with objects as it made its way through an area heavily populated with United supporters prior to Monday's Premier League game. The bus, owned and branded by Manchester-based Beeline VIP Coaches, was actually transporting a touring group of mostly schoolchildren from South Africa. The incident occurred just over half a mile away from the stadium outside the Tollgate pub, where United supporters had congregated in huge numbers for a protest march against the club's owners, the Glazer family. Adam Bradshaw, driver and owner of the coach company, told the PA news agency: "It was a school group from South Africa on a football tour. "They've come over here to visit as many clubs in the UK as they can and play a few games. "Part of the programme was to go to the game last night because they are all massive United fans. They all had the scarves and shirts on and were excited for the game. "Then we were outside that pub, the Tollgate, they started throwing bottles and cans at us for absolutely no reason. Kids were cowering under the seats and in the aisleways. It wasn't good at all.
  19. Klopp "we lost because we ran out of time" ..maybe time's running on on Klopp's Liverpool career?
  20. I would say his goal threat is even higher than Aguero's because of he's speed and strength, the way he brushed your CB's off yesterday and ran away from them must be scary to play against, shame Pope saved it, even his goal was just a burst of speed and having that poacher instinct, i think he's going to be a level above any striker we have had before tbh
  21. He was playing at a lower level so it doesn't count, players where crap back then
