Im curious where you saw that because over here they put black salt on watermelon and it has a weird sort of tanginess to it that imo ruins the taste of the watermelon completely.
I know people that inject vodka with a long syringe in various areas of the watermelon and then freeze it whole. Apparently in summer it’s lovely but I’ve never tried this.
