I watched the Bay too, I haven't been to Morecambe since I was a kid, looks like it hasn't changed a helluva lot.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he does not believe his squad requires a "massive rebuild" this summer. Four successive top-flight defeats have left the defending Premier League champions in sixth place, 19 points behind leaders Manchester City. Twelve members of Klopp's squad are aged 28 or over, including nine of their regular first-team players. "I don't think it is time for a massive rebuild like how I understand it," German coach Klopp, 53, said. "The squad of this year didn't have the chance to play together one time really. I think it would make sense to have a look at that [problem] but on top of that, of course little readjustments will happen. "Reacting on the situation but planning at the same time for the future and all these kinds of things. I am not sure we can do that in the summer but that is what we will try." Captain Jordan Henderson became the latest player to join the Reds' considerable injury list after he was ruled out for up to 10 weeks after a groin operation. Speaking on Friday, before his side's trip to Sheffield United on Sunday (19:15 GMT), Klopp said sealing a top-four finish and Champions League qualification this term - despite their injury problems - would be a "big" achievement. "It is all about results," added Klopp. "The table doesn't lie. Never. That is completely fine. We know that performance-wise we are not that far away, but results-wise we are. "That is what we have to change and for all the different reasons that it was a difficult season so far for us. "We try with all we have to sort it and while you try and sort one problem another problem occurs. That is in a season when it is not going perfect, obviously."

No, but if there is any way it can be blamed on Jurgen you can guarantee it will be.

Taki now out injured with a hamstring injury and will miss trip to Goodison. Our curse extends far and wide.
-
Hopefully he'll still figure in this season. Getting him back before the end of April would be huge for us.

I remember Titi Camara playing hours after his dad died then breaking down with emotion after he scored the winner. A great tribute.

I'm sure Ali will be taken to one side and asked if he needs a break. I think he will need to carry on, from personal experience it doesn't help to sit around doing nothing in times like these.

That's the thing about some of the stuff on Netflix or Prime, some stuff is good but some so drawn out. Longshot was very good, one episode 40 odd minutes. Hotel Cecil should have been the same imho.

Sounds reasonable to me. Of course the Twitterverse who know much more than us mortals already have decided that our injuries are all down to excessive Klopp tactics and inept physios and trainers.

Thanks, will do.

I usually wait to get the lay of the land but I like this place. Can someone let me know how to chip in via PayPal?

The funniest thing about the supposed "rant" was that Rafa was most likely the least "rantable" person I ever saw, he calmly listed things that Demento got away with on a daily basis. Seriously if anyone thinks that was a "rant" I wish they could see my mam when i was a teenager in the south end of Liverpool coming home after a night on the ale.

Rafa's rant, Keegan's rant, Klopp's rant...............hmmm I seem to be picking up on a bit of a pattern here? Blinkered? No surely not.

As I said mater, they are much fitter so should stay healthier longer. As I said, it's rhetorical, everyone has an opinion and none can be proven or disproved.
-
Probably, it's just that manu fans loved to waffle on about Raffa moaning now it's Klopp, I just find it a bit amusing that none of them had a go at Ferguson who had turned his weekly moans into an art form.
-
Kinda like saying cars today are better made, serviced more often so that's why they break down more Look, I'm not expecting an answer as to why so many injuries, it was rhetorical everyone has an opinion, my guess is it's probably down to pure old bad luck

I figured you'd been watching for a lot shorter period of time. It's silly to make generalizations the games 30 years ago weren't always played at a slow tempo, many games were played at a breakneck pace, the merseyside derby was famous for it. Yes the players now are generally faster but that isn't always the case, go back 20 years and the likes of Michael Owen was faster than many today, go back another 20 and Heighway was fast too, I'm just using those two as examples but there were plenty of others too. I realize there is no real answer to the question of why injuries seem so much more prevalent, players are rotated today more than in the past, medical and physio light years ahead than they were, fitter players should be able to avoid injuries more than ones not as fit, the list is endless. Young fans have this "Harry Enfield" version of football back then, it was funny on his show but obviously not the case mate.

I don't know how long you have supported manu but they used to have a manager by the name of Ferguson. If you think Klopp is a moaner you should have heard this guy. He moaned all the time even when manu were winning most weeks. His favourite was refs but he moaned about injuries, congested fixture lists he even blamed the colour of his own teams shirts once, I kid you not. The point being that most managers are unhappy today and most complain, the chances are that the nasty foreign managers get the brunt of this criticism and Jurgen being vocal get's singled out more than most.
-
I still don't see how that relates to what you wrote?
-
The game is faster but there hasn't been any fundamental changes. Games were played at different tempos just as often back then as they are today mate.
-
Eh?
-
I haven't heard the severity, the scan was yesterday I think? If it's a tear it will be longer but a strain usually a case of weeks not months.
-
Yeah groin/abductor according to the official site.
-
That appears to be the consensus of opinion.

Cheers. I've read a few reports, hopefully this one is just printing a more "worst case scenario" type of report to grab the headlines?
